Alapocas Woods - Trail, Wilmington, Delaware

Alapocas Woods - Trail, Wilmington, Delaware

DESCRIPTION

If you want to stretch your legs or shake the rust off, this is the place to go. There are several stream crossings as well as one very rocky and technical descent/ascent. There are about three available loops you can take. Best to ride after the woods have been given a chance to dry out. If you want to get completely covered, go after a recent rain. The mud can be frustratingly think.

Some interesting finds that are questionalby trails. A real rocky drop to the river allows you some flat rides around some abandoned buildings and some open fields. Its fun to ride there from the city because you dont have to ride back up and you can pretty much find your way home

Difficulty:
Some challenge both technically and aerobically if you run up and down the hills. Really easy if you ride the road there and then just down to the river and explore.
