Winter Park Resort - TRAIL

Winter Park Resort - Trail, Winter Park, Colorado

Miles and miles of lift-accessed singletrack! Everything from easy scenic rides to scary DH/FR stuff. Plenty of in-between stuff, too! The most fun you can have on a bike...

In addition to last reviews that I read:
Definitely a features park that is fun. Spent the day there and there is several types of features that you can practice on. Couple step ups, wooden wall turn.... Also heard like last years review they are opening more next year. There are not huge amounts of black runs but enough to have fun for a couple days.
What I missed was real rocky downhill, long continuous single run vert and natural steeps. More smooth flowy and trails connecting to other trails is what I rode.

By far Winter Park has been the best all mountain riding I have ever done...Their trails are plagued with wooden features including drops, wall rides, table tops, rollers, and all sorts of TTFs. Quarter Moon is amazing with a series of 4 drops that are awesome, including one over a bridge that crosses a blue trail. Hands down Trestle bike company is top notch. I heard from the bike shop that they will be dumping more money on it next year...If that is the case then I will definitely be back for more.

I have been out in the winterpark area for the past 2 summers. I work out there in Granby. On my days off I take advantage of the lift. My first summer out there I took my 02 specialized hardrock, and I could do a lot of the trails (including mountain goat) It was nice a bit rough on a hardtail but fun. This past summer I took my specialized bighit, and the full suspension made a great difference.

The trails are not too difficult with the exception of the technical mountain goat. Wish there was more difficult terrain, maybe more bridges to drops other than the terrain park.

A nice easy and flowy ride is take zephyr express lift to cheyenne then at 5 points take the route to the downhill and continue right on the downhill when you can go left to the terrain park.

AWESOME TRAILS!!! I ride this resort everytime I go to CO! They are excellent trails with new stuff every year. Just got back from a trip there after the Crankworx Festival. They have some crazy north shore stuff built up, and are working with IMBA to develop more xc trails as well. Great trails!!!

Amazing! Loads of fun. I rented a downhill bike there(KONA STINKY) and it was terrific. Really fast with most of the corners banked and if doing the right trail barely any uphill.

Customer Service

Take the lift to the top and take Cheyenne until it ends and get on The Downhill. The downhill has a few jumps and drop-offs but nothing to hard or high.

So much fun! I love the flow of these trails! Railing the berms is such a blast, and the sections through the woods are great! I hear they are working on many more trails, which is awesome. I hope they don't exclusively build North-Shore FR stuff, but instead add some more intermediate singletrack as well.

Long Trail, Cheyenne, Upper and Lower Arapahoe, the Downhill, etc.
