I dont think "Intense climbing" is correct. It was more linke insane climbing. It is ridden heavily by ATV's, but the first part of the trail was insane hike a bike.

Maybe it was the 9,000 foot elevation this trail started at that kicked my butt, or the sheer ammount of climbing, but I couldnt finish the trail. I thought I was in great shape. but that was at 1,000 ft elevation.

Similar Products Used: Trout creek trail (just a bit past this one on hwy 160). Much better ride, a little more flow, not so many insane climbs.

This trail might have been good at one time before the ATV. It is now a played out, rutted out, dusty, lame downhill with just a bit of singletrack Don't waste your time.

I've ridden many Colorado trails including the Dyke Trail, Upper, Upper upper, Strand Hill, and 401 in Crested Butte, Palmer Park, Waldo, Captain Jacks, Colorado Trail, and Rampart in the Springs. The Durango and Telluride trail areas as well as the classic Moab Utah trails several times over. This trail ranks right up there with the best...and nobody rides it! I rode for a week in this area and didn't see another mountain biker. Don't worry...it's open to mountain bikers and you will own the trails. There are tons of singletrack trails in this area of Colorado and most are undiscovered by mountain bikers. I'm reluctant to put this review out for fear others will start riding the trail systems in this area. I like these trails alot and would like to keep them for myself. Wow! I can't believe these trails exist.
