I am biased because I learned/learning to ride here and its my home trail. Hogan is like an ugly, but talented ex girlfriend.....not real picturesque, no nice views, forbidding.......but oh my God the things you can try out on these trails! The main, "lower" trail is beginner grade the first mile or two, blending in to more intermediate technical stuff as you travel further east. There are many side trails that have everything under the sun as far as climbs, technical, switchbacks and level of difficulty. Basically show up...check out the side routes and pick your poison. You can make this place as easy or difficult as you want.

Customer Service

I would recommend a first timer ride the main "lower" trail out and back (about 9-10 miles) the first time to get a flavor ....then explore the many side routes as you learn the layout of the place.

Great trail to ride. Its an in and out, nothing to terribly tech but you will get a decent workout! Can be very hot in summer so bring lots of h2o!! Trails are rocky but flow pretty good. I enjoy it and go back pretty cosistant.

Customer Service

Trails are clearly marked. The intermediate trail seems to get the most use. The trail marked as black diamond has alot of brush over growth, but still fun!!

The SCAAb people have done a great job to make this trail interesting and challenging and they aren't done yet. A nice combination of speed and technical stuff.

Customer Service

It's out & back with side trails that tie back into the main trail. Hit the high trails on the way out and take the low singletrack on the way back.

There are lots of new trails and the whole thing is different, now that the whole thing burned (twice) during the summer. It's really cool to see how the whole thing is laid out. Great low elevation for winter rides and drains quickly after rains.

Customer Service

same as above

Similar Products Used: Was just at Glory Hole yesterday - lots of new trails there too. It's novice stuff but should be added to the rotation for winter rides. Funny, there were two dorks there shuttling the switchbacks. Wa?

This route has plenty of challenges and can appeal to intermediate and advanced riders as well. This is not for beginners. There are many dangerous sharp rock outcroppings. When you come to the end of the maintained trail you can continue cross country for about a mile. It is beautiful and you will probably see a coyote! The trail is well maintained so be sure and thank the Forest Service.

Customer Service

The recommended lake route.

It's all right, been there once. It's too far to drive an not enough trail to justify the drive to go back.

It's technical but not in a way that flows like a really good trail should.

If you're nearby you might as well hit it. I may go back one day if the amount of singletrack increases.

Customer Service

Hmm.. Take the side loops
