Nice semi-technical single track. Some trails are really eroded after the heavy rains this year. Thanks to the rangers and/or volunteers for removing the downed trees on Schultz Creek and Lawndale.

Spring creek

To go down it. It is a great downhill single track. But it is a bit rocky. Still it is my favorite trail for the last 3 years.

Im still smiling...

Very very nice singletrack, though most is somewhat wide. Lots of fast trail with nice technical sections. Nothing to tight and twisty, but the rock gardens more than make up for it. Not much elevation/steep climbing, just enough to make it fun. Just watch out for all the hikers (mostly on trails going to, and around the lake), and wildlife that doesnt run away (saw several flocks of turkeys, herds of deer and only 2 equestrians, though quite a few hikers). Bring spare tubes, you get lots of practice rock gardening, and the snakebite potential is very high in sections.

Customer Service

I started at the Cobblestone parking area, went up cobblestone, to Rough Go, Marsh, Ridge, Marsh, S Burma, N Burma, Rough Go, Orchard, Cobblestone. Next time will either explore more or re-do the Burmas and Ridge and marsh trails.

It is a very nice park - not very technical but fun. I ride it on 29er SS with 34X20 gears and it has plenty of aerobic challenge. Lawndale is my favorite trail - 3 mi of fun singletrack. If you have time you can easily string 20-25 mi of trails. I recommend it to singlespeeders or intermediate geared riders.

BEST PLACE EVER!!! everyone thinks that this place is rough. its not only a few short sections on a few short trails. best thing to do is go up until you cant anymore then drop out the back and repeat once more for a good ride.

Customer Service

start at your friends house off spencer street in doew town santa rosa. ride to the park, go up spring creek or canyon depending on how you feel. then head up marsh trail until you get to ridge. cut across ridge to the top of schults. then go to lawndale and head down that. after ride up the road to schultz then up schultz trail to the top and head over to S. burma ride about 1/2 mile to the top then down S. burma to N. burma and back to your friend house on spencer street. thats about a 30 mile ride. now you have to do all that on your singlespeed or your a woss.

Similar Products Used: just ride any trail in the park to have fun. don't ride in the winter though because you tear up the trails. winter is when you bust out the road bike to go kick som roadie ass in marin. be sure to wear your muddy or dirty mountain shoes on your road bike to make the stupid marinites mad when you blow past them

This is my home trail, so I'm spoiled. We are so lucky to have this park in the North Bay. There's something for everyone here, just respect the horses and the hikers. It's here for all of us!

Customer Service

For rolling single track, it's hard to beat Ridge trail. While you're up there though, make sure to ride Lawndale, Schultz, and then head up and over South Burma. Enjoy the descent down to Richardson! From there, at lake level, take a break for a swim, or ride Steve's S, North Burma, Live Oak, Rough Go, Orchard and Cobblestone. Have Fun!

I have ridden Anadel probably 600 times, frequently since 82',. This is one of the finest rides available in Marin/Sonoma. Once you get to know the area, you will find many different rides for what ever you are looking for. The best, is after you're ride you can take a dip in Lake Ilsanjo. Have respect for the occaisional equesterian and hiker.

Customer Service

Just go up, twice as high as the lake, the top. Many different trails.

So much easily accesible space!!! Something for everyone here from offroad spinning, to some pretty gnarly DH singletrack, rocks, stumps, streams, we got it here.

Customer Service

Up Spring Creek, Down Lakeview, Liveoak, to North Burma, then back up Richardson, and down Rough Go to get back to Howarth, this is if you start at Howarth, I usually do.

Fatty! Seriously, one of the most exhilirating rides I've ever done. I was in town for some work, and decided to hit up Annadel SP after having ridden there once before. Since it had just rained for 3 or 4 days, I stopped by Bike Peddler (local shop on College Ave) to get the scoop on trail conditions. I don't mind riding in wet conditions, but definately want to keep trail erosion to a minimum. Soils at Annadel are volcanic and fast-draining, so I wasn't too worried. One of the guys at the shop gave me the info on Shultz Trail to Ledsen Marsh to Lawndale Trail, a loop of about 7-8 miles. Simply awesome! All singletrack except for about a mile around the marsh, which is a fire road. Great flow, very managable climbs, great views! Not very techical, except in a few rocky spots. These trails felt like they were made with mountain bikes in mind. Also, the conditions were so good, I didn't even feel guilty about riding in the wet. This should be inspiration for Bay Area riders this winter, when other spots with clay-rich soils are just too sticky to ride. The terrain varied from mature oak to mature pine, with some manzanita scrub thrown in. Basically, classic North Bay volcanic landscape. Simply beautiful.

Customer Service

Basically, start from the northeast side of the park, off of HWY 12. Take Lawndale Road to the first trailhead on your right (east of road). Park here, continue the gentle climb up Lawndale Road about 0.7 mile, turn right on Schultz Road. Then, downhill about 0.7 mile to the trailhead for Schultz Trail. Very easy to miss, since there is no parking lot here. The road ride up to Shultz is a great warmup for the legs. Schultz follows a contour for about 0.5 mile into Schultz Canyon, then climbs steadily out of the canyon to the Ridge Trail. Great views on the way up! From the intersection of Schultz and Ridge, you can break north around Ledsen Marsh to pick up Lawndale back to your car, or take Ridge west further into the park, with lots of loop possibilities, but none shorter than adding 5+ miles to your ride. Looking at the map, though, Ridge also follows a contour, and looks to be a great ride. The run down Lawndale is awesome, since it drops you slowly over about three miles, with fast sections through the trees and short, rocky bits. You end up at the parking lot on Lawndale Road.
