donald drive - TRAIL

donald drive - Trail, Moraga, California

this is a great really fast downhill ride with one small uphill but its really fun and intense with a few nice jumps. There are also a few ways to go and i suggest going to the right at the bottom of the second hill.

a kick ass DH trail with singletrack and switchbacks. Some of the swithchback sections are expert but on the whole the trail is really only intermediate. The trail is not called the donald trail but is one of the trails leading into Orinda Oaks Park, I think you can find a second review farther down. The jumps blow ass but I promise to fix them and if you live in orinda or moraga I highly suggest riding them at least once, their a bit short though and the climb up to them is a pain in the ass

Customer Service

there are several routes to take on this trail, the fastest but least fun is going straight down, I, and brian, whoever he is, reccomend taking a right at the bottom of the second hill. See brians crappy directions on how to get there

Similar Products Used: No more really local trails but the East West Ridge trail in redwood park is a 9 mile loop that kicks major ass. That I highly suggust riding. There's a review a little further down

This is some awesome single track downhilling. It is a short trail and not worth the drive if you don't live near it, but there are no hikers and plenty of steep single track sections and a cliff traverse. There are also some very difficult, expert-level switchbacks.

Customer Service

The directions have already been stated in previous reviews, but my favorite trail is when you take a right after the first downhill.

Similar Products Used: For XC, the East-West Ridge in redwood park is awesome.

This trail is not even close to extreme there were no rocks, no drop-offs, no technical sections and 1 steep descent. dont waste your time on this, there are a lot of better, harder trails that are nearby.

Customer Service

past the hacienda, before the rheem school take a left up donald driveand the trail is near somewater towers near the top

This trail sucks. I dont know what gave him the idea to call it extreme. There is a 1-2 mile paved uphill to get there, then some mildly sloped fire roads going down building up to a whopping 1 short downhill. I've had more fun riding off of curbs.

Customer Service

Stay home. Go find some sidewalks to ride.

connects to orinda oaks if you go down all the way. i just hiked half of it yesterday because it was so steep i had to leave my bike and then come and get it. at the top is donald drive and few houses. if you go all the way to the right is a few watersheds and then a gate that is open.
