this is the best climb in park,do it until you can clear the whole thing.Coming down is ok,the switch backs are tight so watch your speed. This trail is only advanced if your going up,coming down is easy.

Customer Service

the trail is on the south end of the park.If your at top of the world instead of going down the Mathis way tun around and follow the road almost till the end.you will see a small trail head on the right follow that down and up and you will come to small road, make a right and follow the road ,the trailhead will be on the left.

Fun trail for sure, but I don't see how this is advanced. Probably the best trail in South County. Bring your Santa Cruz!

Customer Service

Follow the trail path.

Don't ride this trail if you can't clean mathis. It is too narrow and we don't need the walkers to clog it up the way mathis is clogged up. For the beginner i recomend cleaning Cholla 1st. Then clean mathis and then you will be ready for meadows. This is the best kept secret in aliso woods for uphillers and cross country guys. The Brian Lopes wanna be downhillers with thier 40 pound anvils wouldnt have a chance at cleaning this thing uphill.
thought i would throw that in since i ride a 23 pound specialized hardtail. Just a joke so don't e-mail me.

Can't we all just get along.

You RADS crack me up. I love the letters and I always forward them to my good buddy and ex rads president HOBB Childers. Hobb are you listening?

I rode this trail for the first time on Sunday the 29th. It was a blast! I ate dirt a couple times (going a little to fast for the switch backs) as did my friends that went with me.

Customer Service

Park down by the church, ride the fire road up til you hit chiola, up chiola, take the fire rode all the way up to "Top of the World" down the paved street untill it turns into a alley. Then right at the first dirt trail.

Typing with one hand as I broke my forearm and dislocated my shoulder here. The sand pits on the main trail are deadly. Lock your front wheel tight with the slightest braking -over the handlbars head first you go! Here in S.Cal. we are just getting our first rain in 6 months so the trails are fairly loose soil and sand in the canyon bottoms. All these negatives aside its a great park with lots of options. Have ridden Cholla several times and really enjoy the upper trails. I'll be back in a few weeks. Once the Dr. says good to go. Once the rain packs the dirt and sand trails should be top class again.

Customer Service

All trails are good but watch the sand pits along the main trail - deadly.

Watch the hikers on the main trail get to the top via the fireroad. From there you can make your choice.

Grunt factor going up is a ten. If you want to test your physical abilities try climbing up without stopping. I did it for the first time after about 30 attempts and what a reward it is. Going down is fun but not hard.

Customer Service

Start at the church and take the road until you hit wood canyon trail. Take an immediate left and will take you straight to the bottom of meadows.

Similar Products Used:

Once at the top of meadows, go left on the bike trail and you will run into a single track that will veer to the left. This will eventually take you to a trail called sunrise. VERY STEEP and challenging. If you think going down meadows it tough, don't even think about it.

Cleaned it without stopping for the first time on Saturday. I give thanks to my new i-drive for that. First time cleaning it without stopping in about 4 tries.

Customer Service

See above. It's fun going down, but more rewarding if you go up it first. Only the best conditioned can do it without stopping. The first big switchbacks will drain your energy so conserve at the bottom.

cleaned without stopping all trails but rock-it now. That one is next. The technical babyhead section has always gotten me.

for a real ride and hours more fun, hit Saddleback Mtn
instead, on a clear day, just look inland and 'up' from laguna, now theres a ride worthy of more than 1 tire rating......
nothing in this park aint 'cleanable'if you are actually an advanced rider

Customer Service

Sorry gang, but the only thing that makes Laguna, is the hype, not the trails.....if your not from the area, its not worth the drive....i grew up riding top of the world, even pryor to the cooler than god bikeclubs. and if your a serious rider, youd have to ride every trail and fireroad in the place to make a decent loop.....so xc and dh, no need to fued, your all riding bunny hills and calling them alps....
if u wanna real loop, park downtown, go north and up thru el morro, out the back, down 'lizards', get on el toro, climb up the back to lynx, and so on......

This is an awesome uphill ride. What it lacks for in length it makes up for in difficulty on the uphill. When you think you're going to roll over, throw up and die, you're about half way there. Downhill isn't that technical, but get some speed going and you'll definitely get the adrenaline going in the switchbacks. Kind of short, but still a very fun trail. This trail is not for the average weekend warrior, need to be in descent shape before you even try this uphill climb.

Customer Service

Start from the church and head towards the hills. Once you go through the gate at the start of the dirt fire road, turn left onto the first single track you see. It's flat for about a mile, then the fun begins and you start the climb.
