007 Trail - TRAIL

007 Trail - Trail, Bass Lake, California

The trail is rumored to go 22 miles but I've only made it 6-7 miles the day I rode. Just keep riding up and when you're ready turn around and hit the killer downhill. It's a tight singletrack with banked turns and dozens of jumps. There are a few rocky sections and some ruts but to so many as too slow you down too much.

the trail is amazingly fun for any type of riding and any style the only downside is that it takes along time to get to the top if you are not being shuttled. there are three parts to 007. top part is fun and very quiet and you feel like noone is around but its beautiful and during hot days its cool up there. The middle part is alot of technical riding. I remember barely seeing any dirt but more rockgardens :). The lower part is pure speed, flow and fun. theres a bunch of little jumps and a little technical section which you can also jump over if your looking for speed.
I live right there and if anyone wants to go riding there hit me up. Definetely my favorite local trail around and last time i even found a nice bontrager heavy duty downhill tube and a pouch. :D

It was one of the best downhill trails I have ridden in California. A lot of bank turns and a couple of nice little jumps.

Customer Service

I rode to the top of the second section which was not fun. I would deffinately had chosen to shuttle up if I had the choice, it is a long, steady, hot climb and has a lot of mosquitos. So shuttle up if you have a choice!!

Very fun trail, with everything you could ask for. Set up for DH bikes, but XC bikes can manage. It only gets tough in the rock gardens, which there are only a few of.

Customer Service

Park at damn accross from Central Camp Rd, then ride up Central Camp. Easy, but enjoyable warm-up and you can hit the trail at 3-4 points. I rode to the very top of the trail and rode down. The bottom of the 3 sections is the funnest and quickest. Middle section has a rough rock section.

Just got home from 007, it was great! Unless you are in awesome shape, don't bother pedaling to the top. Few dirt bikes on the access road but very respectful of bikes. There's a few rock gardens but they are nothing impossible. Center of the lower trail has a two foot rut but still very rideable, just watch for rocks in the ruts. Easy access and about a 1/2 hour shuttle but well worth it!

The trail is EXCELLENT! Make sure you bring someone to shuttle you though because last weekend i just road up the singletrack trail and only got about 2 miles up(still was aton of fun though!). Lots of rock garden type of riding and little jumps here and there. Def. a trail you could haul ass on. No doubt it is the best trail in our area!

Customer Service

Shuttle as far up as possible then bomb down the singletrack

Similar Products Used: At Sky Harber (park touching millerton lake) there is a trail towards the northeastern side of the park. If your out of shape the climb will kill you, but once you get to the top turn the bike around and be ready to get some fun times. not really hard or technical but it's the best trail 30 minutes from fresno.

Rode this trail today after a long hiatus. 007 is in fine shape. I was impressed by the way mother nature has smoothed out the damage done in the past by motorcyclists.

Customer Service

Definitely ride up the old Central Camp logging road. Riding up the trail is really strenuous and causes those riding down to slow down in order to avoid smashing you. The logging road is a good cardio workout because the steady grade allows you to push yourself as hard as you want.

Pretty fun trail; best I've found in the Fresno area so far (moved here summer '05). I've ridden the lower section once (shuttled) and returned for a cross-country loop and rode up the road to the second trail crossing and then down. Has some pretty good rock gardens that aren't too technical but are certainly enough to tire your arms out and rattle teeth a bit. Otherwise it's just a fun smooth swoopy, but pedally DH trail. My trail bike is perfect for it (5" x 6"). There are a couple of doubles that could use some work; I haven't tried clearing them cuz the takeoffs don't look like they have any lip left to them. A pretty fun set of log drops, and one small little ladder drop (altho the motos have torn up the entrance to it so badly it's super hard to set up for). I got to the bottom with a big smile on my face; one of the biggest tests of a good trail for me.

Customer Service

Ride or shuttle up Central Camp Road.
