Silver Mountain in Kellogg Idaho - Trail, Kellog, Bikeparks

DESCRIPTION

Ride the worlds longest gondola to access 4000 vertical feet of some of the best trails in the inland NW. Trails are well marked and are suited for DH bikes as well as several trails for the XC enthusiast. Currently the resort is in the process of expanding their trail network in order to become a major fat tire destination. Not too much here for the beginner rider as the vertical is just too much for the novice rider. Check out www.silvermt.com for details

Well, I am in love. This was my first "downhill" experience where I don't have to work my ass off to get to the top, and from what I'm hearing, I chose one of the best resorts for downhilling. The bar is set really damn high because this mountain was amazing. It takes a good 45 minutes to an hour to get down an average length trail. We got full day lift tickets for $33. We went on a Sunday from 10-3, ate snacks on the lift up (30 minute ride and rest), and didn't waste a minute and only got 4 runs in because they are so long. SO worth checking out. There were beginner to expert trails all over the moutain with some awesome jumps and beautiful scenery. We are looking at buying season passes for only $150. Epic!

Hiawatha trail is great for family. It is basically flat for 15 miles with some beautiful scenery. There are tunnels and tressles throughout the ride. We rode up and back for a total of 30 miles, and did it easily in 3 and a half hours with a lunch break and plenty of stops to check out the views. I would recommend it for kids, elderly, and the inexperienced riders that don't have the endurance or fitness ability to get up into mountains for riding.

I went to silver mountain this summer and it is awsome, it's only 8 bucks for the gondala up and then its hours of fun on the way back down with trails ranging in length and difficulty. from 15 to 7 miles down.

Customer Service

well i went on alhambra which is the intermediate trail. it has some awsome downhill, a couple of jumps at the bottom and some sweet berms and switchbacks. I would also recommend the hammer if you are a more advanced rider, it has some optional 4-5 ft drops and some sweet jumps, but only take the hammer if you have full suspension and full pads.

hiawatha trail, it isn't so technical but it has some awsome scenery and a mile and a half long tunnel so bring a flashlight.

It is a great mountain to spend a weekend on. There are many trails to choose from tht range from easy to hard. The mountain is mostly set up for down hillers and cross country. True beginners could ride on the easy trails but it will be difficult for them. Also there is not much for a new rider.
