The trail is back in action. It took a while to get the entry trails back in business, but they are working now. There is over 30+ miles of trail. You need to obtain a sportsman's pass to get access to the trails. You can get the pass at the gate M-F from 8-4.

New trail Turn Turn Turn is a great warm up. Tougher trails consist of Merlin, Advanced Trig, Ball of Nails.

Intermediate trails consist of Buddha, Portopotty, Outside Loop, Airport Loop, 5 mile trail, 10 Bridges.

Some of the other trails are beginner to intermediate. Check out CARPCLUB.COM for a map of the site. This is a gem in the Central Arkansas area. Get out and ride.

No trail summary. Not sure how long the trails have been down but as of 7 NOV 2010, they are closed due to Logging. Not sure what condition the trails will be in once they are re-opened. Recommend calling ahead to ensure you don't waste a trip. Shame too, I was pumped to ride this place after reading previous posts as well as getting a recommendation from the guys at Competitive Cyclist. Disregard how often I've ridden this trail as well as the ratings below, values are required to post a review.

pretty kick ass resource for central ark riders. you must have a CARP membership or be military to ride here. you can get a CARP card at Arkansas Cycling and Fitness for 10 bucks (they also have the only decent map). like previous posts state, there are many trails out here some quite challenging. what you will find: mostly well maintained trails, no monster climbs, and a lot of tight single track.

you now only check in at the main gate, no more having to check in at the police station.

Customer Service

many trails but really only one main entrance.
easy trails: airport loop, two bridges, yucca
harder: ball of nails, advanced trig, buddha

Awesome trail system of 40 miles of rip roaring super silky singletrack. When I have time this is the best place to ride in Central AR (LR & NLR area). The only downside is that it takes a little longer to get to and from the trailhead due to security checkpoints b/c the trails are on an army base. But the trails are so sweet it is well worth the extra 15 min. I feel very lucky to even get to ride out there at all. Everything from super easy and flat like the Yucca Trail to hardcore like Advanced Trig and everything in between to make any rider leave with a smile.

Customer Service

Yucca Trail to Airport Loop to Buddha to Love Trail to Ball of Nails to Advanced Trig to Buddha to Airport to Outer Loop to Christmas Tree Loop down Elevator to Flatlands back up Elevator to finish Christmas Tree Loop w/ the Christmas Tree Extension back up Yucca to the trailhead. You could get lost and ride here for days, it's awesome.

Have rode the trail network a couple of times..am an out of state National Guard member, so the only time I get to ride is when I am visiting Camp Robinson.

Having said that, the trail compares well with others I have ridden. Not too technical, but certainly enough to get a good workout without too much risk. Agree with the recommendation to bring lots of H2O.

I also found the map (get a copy when you sign in at the police station) is not very up to date, and the trails are not very well marked.

These are some of the best trails in Arkansas. It is definitely worth the $10 C.A.R.P. membership. The trails are well maintained and very flowing. You can get some great speed on most of the trails. They can be a bit technical in places, mostly loose rock gardens. There is a good but of wildlife out there to. It can be a hassle getting on base every time you want to ride, but it's worth it. Make sure to sign in at the fire station, it is for your safety, especially if you ride alone like I do. Make sure to carry plenty of water, there is no place to fill up.

Customer Service

All of them!! I like to change up my route every time, it keeps the trails interesting.

This is a great trail systems. Pain in the butt to get on base every day, but worth it. Not the most technical, but great for honing your skills.
