Cedar Glade Park - TRAIL

Cedar Glade Park - Trail, Hot Springs, Arkansas

The trail head area is nice. It is praved and has restrooms and pinic tables. The trail is rolling with several creek crossings, bridges, switchbacks, one big climb and some great downhills.

Wife and I rode the blue trail three times this past week-end. We are newb's but had no problems. Great trail and in great shape. Much better than CARP trails and Burns Park in Little Rock; not as many rocks in the trail and more features.

Customer Service

Park at trail head off Wildcat road. The Green trail was hard to follow but blue trail well marked.

This is such a beautiful trail - not technical really, good steady climbing and some fun creek crossings. Pre-rode it for upcoming Spa City 6hr and was just taken back after getting one lap in.

Second day we rode in the rain to get feel of trail if it happened to rain during race. This place is a blast even with water, streams are a little deeper - some of the rocks and roots are tad slippery - but the trail does very very well with minimum amounts of mud.

watch out, some of those bridges can get slick with precip!

Came in from Iowa for the weekend and found this trail. Fantastic ride. Just the right amount of difficulty. All trails are well marked. Good job to the group(s) who maitain these trails. If it doesn't rain I will ride there again tomorrow.

I really love this trail. I haven't tried the Black Loop yet, but i have done the Blue/Green Loops several times. I enjoy riding this trail more and more everytime i make the journey to Hot Springs. Lots of curves, turns, climbs/descents of varying degrees, and a good deal of switchbacks as well. Will definitely give you a good workout. There are a few nice creeks and streams that you will cross along the way. This trail seems to flow really well. It has a little bit of everything.

Customer Service

Start at trailhead B, hop on the green loop...it will take you to the blue or black loops.

AWESOME trail! This trail has it all and I left begging for more. We rode for 3.5 hours and it seemed as if half of it was downhill single track! Lots of technical climbing, with long climbs. You can get some great speed on the downhills with a few nice jumps.

Customer Service

Counter clock wise and be sure to ride the longer back loop.

Awesome trail with great singletrack construction. A couple of nice climbs, some sweet twisty downhill, and even some very sweet jumps thrown in. This trail has been extended and is almost 10 miles now. I highly recommend this trail to anyone that loves mountain biking.

Good, flowing single track. Moderate climbing with fast downhill sections and lots of rocks. Singletrack stays firm and ridable even after it has rained. Multiple trail loops to choose from. I measured the longest loop at 8.5 miles with my GPS. Trails for everyone from beginner to expert.

Customer Service

I start at the parking lot on the southwest side of the park. The tailhead is just past the playground. Stay to the right when you approach a split in the trail to complete the 8.5 mile loop.

I took a trip out to AR last week to visit some old friends and to ride some trail. This was my second ride of the trip. We missed the actual entrance and ended up near the RC airfield at the north end of the park where we met a very nice man who was there doing work. He gave us a trail map. Once we got oriented we were fine but it did take a while because there was supposedly some sections of trail that were roped off which we never found. However, since this ride is totally enclosed within a park there is no getting lost. Overall the trail was smooth, fast, and rolling. There was only one minor technical descent and I only say it is technical becuase my better half endo'd going down it. The climbs were minimal and completely non technical. If I went back I would take a single speed with at least 2:1 gearing. Heck, I might even consider riding a fixed gear bike on this trail. We rode this on a beautiful Saturday morning but saw no other riders. This would make for a nice post-work ride.

Customer Service

Ride it one way and then ride it the other way.

Trail is actually closer to 9.5 miles now. There has been quite a bit of new singletrack added in the last year. Trail is very well maintained with a few trail-bridge crossings, nothing is overly technical. Cedar Glades is a recreational park that includes frisbee golf, hiking trails, kids playground, air field for remote control airplanes, and a Boy Scout camp area. There are picnic tables and benches at various locations on the trail. There are also restrooms in 2 locations and a large parking lot. This is also where the Atilla the Hun race is held which is part of the Arkansas Mountain Bike Championship Series. The course is very spectator friendly.

Fun trail and close to Hot Springs. There are actually two different options, green which is easier and brown which is harder.

Almost his a large cotton mouth, which scared the crap out of me on the first lap.
