Fianna Hills - TRAIL

Fianna Hills - Trail, Fort Smith, Arkansas

Very exciting. Trail has various challenges from rocks, bumps and grooves, to big ol' mud holes. It is used for motorcross some as well. There are some good single bike trails off the main trails. You can spend hours out here cause there are several branches of trails. Unfortunately, I was only there for a few minutes my first time. Got a little daring and tacoed a rim. Heading back though!!

Trails are still in decent condition on most sections.. I've seen a few hikers, motorcross, and mtn bikers on the trail as of recent...

Customer Service

DO NOT park at the trailhead... ONLY ride these trails if you know them well, and know what area's to stay away from...

Great trail for mtn biking, hiking, 4 wheeling or just having a good time..... But as of a few months ago NO TRESSPASSING signs have been put all over this place. pretty sad.... so parking at the trailheads is really a no go anymore........ the trail is kind of a two-parter; you can go left and down the rocky clay road, lots of fun that way. big rocks steep inclines and mud galore. once you go right at the bottom of the steep hill, go right, then work your way rightish until you get on some narrow shaded woodland. there's a hellish hill in there somewhere, but i loved it all and plan to go back often. my favorite area was the shaded and wooded area in the opposite direction of the access road (check recommended route). there's also a built up jump too also, poison ivy wasn't a big problem. there's lots of it, but not much on the trails

Customer Service

unless you pine for steep crappy road and huge rocks, don't ride the clay road left. from the cul-de-sac go right, ride a block or so through the meadowish stuff, then on your left you'll see an obvious trail into the woods. lots of more-or-less level and comfortable riding through here, and if you go far enough you'll find a long, steep, shaded downhill ride.

This is a great trail. Couldn't ride it too far, but it has creeks and mud holes and it was a blast. It's close to town so it can be ridden often.

Customer Service

Park at the cul de sac, ride down the hill to the power line road, turn right and look for the singletrack on the left.

Getting to the trail was pretty rough, had to ride down a service road that had been washed out with huge and abundant rocks to collide with. The trail was technically difficult with lots of large rocks to dodge and plenty of obstacles. Overall, a fun ride. The rocks will beat you up so be prepared, have tools ready and possibly a first aid kit. And take a buddy.

Customer Service

We parked where the map said to, rode the service road to the left nearly to the bottom of the hill, then picked up the service road to the right, a hundred yards or so down, the single track picks up on the left.

Only complaint is too many ruts from the guys who use motors. You want it...it's here. Lots of fast singletrack or plenty of uphills. Not too many technical sections, just enough to keep you honest. Great place to knock out a couple of hours after work!

I loved this ride. It was a technical ride, which I love. I didnt see any problems caused by the motorcyles. But im also a MXer. The trails varied from tight single track to 4wheeler type trails to even some jeep stuff. Great climbs and even better downhills. If your from Missouri, these trails resemble the trails @ Sac River near springfield. This is probably not the best place for beginners. When you get to the coldesac(spelling ???) (park here near the houses) follow the little path to the left near a guys fenced in yard, down a big jeep road hill. At the bottem the trails go off to the right.

Customer Service

Same as stated in the other guys review. His directions got me there.

These trails give you a little bit of everything. As you start the downhill from the culdesac, there is a monster climb staring you in the face. Its a great technical climb.
Also..everyone should make it to the big water tower on the back side.........the trail is a blast and the view is good once you reach the tower. Directions as follows --> starting from the culdesac, downhill then climb the monster hill in directly in front of you. Downhill about a 1/4 mile, then the trail levels out. There is a left hand turn, wide open, leading to the end of a dead-end road at the back side of fianna. Make the left, and just as you reach the road you turn right. The trail is obvious. You're on your way to the water tower. Caution, the downhill is ROCKY! Biting it here is quite painful! From this point, just keep going left. The trail will come to a couple of different forks.....vere left.

Customer Service

Same as others.
