Kellner Canyon - TRAIL

Kellner Canyon - Trail, Globe-Miami, Arizona

This is one of the 4 main trails in the Pinal Mountains. Kellner canyon trail 242 starts off in the pines and quicky runs into a wash which it crosses mutiple times before placing you back onto good dirt. Many may find the first section unridable in sections but don't worry its sort lived.

Along the way you will come across many old artifacts left over from a saw mill sometime ago. The rest of the trail is a mixture of riding in the pines and thru manzinita tunnels. This trail is a wide open cruiser and is the least steep of the 4 main trails. Perfect for all riders of many skills. Sweet panoramic views of globe not often seen from the mountain

Pros: Kellner Canyon trail is yet another gem in the pinal mountains. Its just shy of 6 miles from the top to the ice house CCC . A lesser traveled trail with the back woods feel. Fast, Fun, techy trail that gives a bit of everything but not too much of any type of riding. Starts off in the upper reaches of Kellner canyon and the first bit is very rocky. Keep your speed up and you can make it though. Once your out of the drainage your set to rock it down the mountain. No HAB and great views. Look for videos to get a better idea. Best done as a shuttle but it is also the only trail on the mountain I would consider pedaling up.
