Cross Country Rider

The beginning and end of this ride is fun, but the crap in between can be skipped. Starting with Schultz and going to Sandy Seep, there is pure fun singletrack, but after that, things get twisted as you skirt along Hwy 89 and ride the useless Pipeline. I was warned that Rocky Ridge would be a technical challenge, but it was far from it. There are lots of rocks, but there is a definite line throughout this portion of the trail and nothing hairy enough to dismount. Whatever the case, the ride up til Sandy Seep was worth the price of admission although I would have preferred to ride up to the Mt. Elden Lookout and ride the technical singletrack down from the top. To skirt along the base of the mountain seems like a bit of a waste. No epic climbs or descents.

All single track. Great stuff. The climbs are only slightly technical without anything too steep and are all pretty fun. The descents are religious. The whole loop together is epic. Be careful on the Rocky Ridge Trail at the end. You will be whupped and inclined to wreck.
