Beachwood is primarily a XC ski trail that offers fast and fun summer riding. Overall the trails are very well maintained. There's no single track unless you start making your own. However there are a lot of hills, sharp turns and plenty of routes to have fun on. Great place to ride with friends.

Lots of parking (either at the trailhead or the High School)

I ride my horse on the Beach Lake trails often and we both love it. My horse has learned not to spook at pedestrians or bikers and the trails are so lovely! I ride there about once a week with a sibling or friend and enjoy it very much. The "Yo-yo" hills get the horses in shape very well! I have almost memorized the trails from riding on them so often!

This was a fun trail to ride. I will be riding this trail often. For first timers just pay attention to the signs. There is about 4 different trails and if you're not paying attention you could get on the wrong trail.

This was a fun and exhausting trail. I just moved to AK and I'm trying to ride all of the trails in the area. This was my first trail and I will be riding it again and again. I just think the different trails need to be marked better. I had to slow down a couple of times cause I missed a turn or I just wasn't sure if I was on the right trail. I think that was a first timers mistake.

In summary...I felt like I was on a rollercoaster. Up and down...I loved it. The momentum from the downhill carries you up part of the next uphill.

Customer Service

take the trail to the most to the left after the tunnels. You have 3-4 "routes" to choose from. But there are signs everywhere to tell you where you are.

Some of the hardest XC ski trails in the state lots of hills to keep up the speed though, grueling climbs and few areas of rest, a view of Denali from the top of the "Yo Yos". Flat But Hard Sigle Track in north Pasture, Possiblities for some NS like ramps wich might be built by a few locals (like Me :)) Christlies Loop Has an Insane but short down hill known as free fall and theres a few technicle trails off the main ones worth checking out (i hadn't found them till this fall). I skied this 90% of the days with snow this winter it is sweet, Oh don't Bike Before June first, or when its totally dry Ja the Ski Coach will Get Pissed along with the People who maintain it

Enjoy
