I was looking for somewhere to ride while i was working in athens, looked here, and found this trail. It took me almost a half hour to get there from where I am located, but was very easy to find going by the other guys directions. pass the dam, go straight utill you see it on the right, big sign, can't miss it. The trail was fairly easy compared to the trails I ride around Chattanooga, but i have to say i did have a good time on it! I went counter clockwise a few times and got an ok workout. You can pick up some pretty good speed on certain parts. Mild climbs. I wouldn't recommend driving accross state to ride it, but if your in the area, drop by and give it a spin.

Hello Fellow Mountain Bikers, This trail was built by the same man who is responsible for Oak Mt. State Park trail and Mt. Cheaha trail. It is a good trail for the beginner rider,or family rides with the wife and kids. It is a 3.4 mile loop, very wide trail. No technical sections at all. The ride overlooks the Tennessee River at three different points and winds up back at the parking lot. I hear that there more trails yet to come, supposedly 500 acres have been donated for trails to be built. Hopefully, future trails will be challanging for the more experienced riders.

Customer Service

From the parking lot I recommend starting your ride on the trail on the right side from the parking area. It is a loop, so you'll come right back either way you to, but there is a good downhill run going this way which offers a great view of the river.
