Gems to be found off the beaten track if you take off away from the Visitors Centre. There is a designated MTB Forest over the road at Kinlet North which again you have to search for but has some short lived but quite decent single track. Can get very muddy but as most of the interesting tracks are under forest canopy it remains hard pack. Some good Drops and Jumps for the big riggers but few and short lived. Tip: It's good to start at the Visitors Centre but make your way North to avoid wiping out too many stompers.

Get to the disused railway and find the middle bit(you can just head north through the Forest)then set off North down one of the single tracks to the Brook. Get over the brook and head uphill into the Forest. It's a bit hit and miss. Some days you find a great route and others are poor. Round route is about 27Kms if you find a good one and takes on average 2 1/2 hrs.

The signposting around the forest isn't very good, but if you cycle around a bit there are some great tracks to be ridden. There aren't many steep climbs as the forest is realtivly flat. This doesn't stop some of the downhill sections being fast, just a bit short thats all. On hot days there can be alot of walkers and smaller childern around, so not so nice days are usually better, or weekdays. There are also some very nice baguettes to be eaten at the Vistor centre!!

Customer Service

There are a few signed routes, but we tend to cycle around a bit and find some good tracks
