Puddletown Woods - TRAIL

Puddletown Woods - Trail, Dorchester/Poole, United Kingdom

Loads of 'em. Short singletracks, dowhill sections, crazy jumps even sort of 4X track. Constantly changing as woods are harvested and new trails pop up. Like a giant play area.

I can't get enough of Puddletown Forest, it's got everything crammed into a tiny space. The single track is evolving all the time and there's always loads of it. It's also got a jump section, some northshore, kind of a duel course, plenty of big jumps and drops to be found, just keep looking and you'll find more. I've been riding for years and it still has challenges for me, but at the same time it's ideal for beginners too, there's something for everyone. Full on downhillers may find the trails a bit short and windy but you can still get plenty of speed in some places. People travel a long way to ride at this forest so go check it out if you havn't been already.

Also check out ride-puddletown.co.uk to find out where all the trails are hiding.

Customer Service

From Dorchester:
Once on the bypass you will see the forest to your right keep going until you see a sign for troy town go this way but don’t turn in to troy town follow the road under the bridge then turn right at the roundabout you then go along a rough road, there are many places to park you will see them on the side of the road best place to stop is probably at the dual course (4x) this is nearly at the end of roadiedenduram mile (it is the biggest car park) normally on weekends other cars will be parked there.
once you have parked you can either go through the forest or ride back towards the rough track then at the car park there go in to the forest and continue until you are going up a hill once at the top go along it until you can turn left, there is a DH course along the top but you want to keep going, until there is an open path once at the end of the path explore and enjoy.

From Poole:
Either go through tolpuddle then to puddletown and just keep going straight until you reach the roundabout (next to the bypass) and turn left into the forest or go along the bypass until you can turn in to puddletown then keep going until you reach the traffic lights then turn right and continue to the roundabout and turn left (parking and entering the forest stated above).
