15 mile DH's it ain't, but is nice and technical. The routes are subtle, if you go hacking down all the obvious paths you'll miss 'em. Longest run is about 2.5 - 3 mins depending on mud. Shortest about 40 secs.
No jump spot, which is a bummer, but worth a day out.

Loads of trails, mostly single track rutted with tree
roots sticking out at the most inopportune moments.
Really good for improving technical ability.
Great fun just to explore, as you can quite easily ride
around for 2 or 3 hours without having to ride the same
trails.

Locals should look harder now. The doozers have been in and there are some gnarly fast (when it dries a bit) downhills. Also check the alternate runs off the area known as 'Wendover'. 2 new downhills. Big drops, steep turns, logs, off camber, rock gardens. There are and will be more jumps at the top of the downhills down to the river. Keep looking. If you want to see all these trails, email and meet up.

Apparently, the council is building a duel course/ jump spot in Aston Court up near the quarry. They started fetting trees a couple of weeks ago, and rumour has it that the quarry is going to donate some dirt. I know it ain't leigh woods, but its only over the road.
More trails are appearing in Aston Court in the S... plantation, not being difficult, just forgotton the name of it.

WARNING to all riders. Please be aware that ramblers in the area have started going beyond the usual sticks across the path tactic and have started putting spiked sticks in the ground after some of the jumps around the 'car run' area. Inspect before you ride just in case. More trails up at Wendover now. Steep, rocky, fast.

I can only reinforce what the toaster has said, there's some petty people out there, so check before you ride especially the dropoff on to the logs on the runs that branch off from the picnic table
There are now 5 runs off from the picnic table and alot interconnect so there's a lot of options from 45 secs to 1.5 mins. the weathers getting better so ride.

Lots of short steep technical downhills.. if you can find them. Keep searching, they all come out at the bottom on the towpath.

Customer Service

Find the picnic table in the woods then follow the steep rocky descent
Or at the entrance to the woods(near suspension bridge)
go down the trail marked ** ****** (its Quite Good!)
watch out for those rambler types though!!

There are now 4 entrances to the runs from the picnic table, most runs x each other so the number of options is getting bigger. Also the run from the iron age fort into the quarry has been fettled to make it faster. plus the bottom runs to the left and right of the toboggan run(see Bristol Uni MTB page) are now dry.
Also if you crash and mess up a run/double, etc rebuild it
