Goura - Trail, Athens, Europe

DESCRIPTION

Goura trail.
This trail runs the western slopes of Mt Parnitha from South to North. It may be accessed from the Northen side after following the left crossroad of the dirtroad that starts from Antipa Spring, at Petralona crossroad.
If accessed by the North it is mostly downhill with some small but really steep intervals. Grea landscapes and lots of challenging terrain, even a narrow North-shore style log bridge!
The trail ends at Agia paraskevi chapel. From there you've got a 6 killometers steep climb to the Pan Crossing. If you chose that direction you may enter the high entrance of the infamus Agios Georgios trail after passing the Kyra crossing.
Not for XC riders or just descenders! All those trails include ascends as well as descends! Be prepared for a workout!
