Bois de Liesse - Trail, Dollard-des-Ormeau, Quebec

Bois de Liesse - Trail, Dollard-des-Ormeau, Quebec

DESCRIPTION

easy relaxing ride for beginers or whole famely some of the off limits trails are fun but not chalenging...your grandpa could ride these trails but if you live nearby its better than paved roads and the scenery is beutifull. I like going for night rides there, you can do whaterver you want hardly anyone around. nice spot!

a simple trail with nice senery. if u go to the 'off limits' sections that is usally for cross contry skiers, but not maintained during the summer its a little more technical, just watch out from poison ivy if you go off the trails. its easy but beats the pavement and if you ride fast enough you can get a good workout.

I agree with the last reviewer. The trials at Bois de Liesse are very tame in nature. But it beats riding the pavement.

However, I find Bois-de-Ile-Bizard a better alternative to this park. Better layout. I would say a good 90% is is wood coverd with a few wooden brides over marsh areas. And best of all, it runs along the back river & you could hook up with the ferry to carry you over to Laval for the trail in Two Mountains. it is also manged by the same City Parks. There are also some short un-marked single-tracks runs you can branch out on.

Again, another alternative to paved road if you are a local. Great mid-week trial to work out on in anticipation for the big weekend ride.

From St' Jean's blvd. & turn right on Jacques Bizard. go west on Pirrefonds Blvd. From St. Charles, go east & turn left on Jacques Bizard. Once over the bridge, turn at the light in either direction. I think the street is called, Cheerier. This road brings you to far end of the island where the main entrance is. Paid parking. Tha's the only bummer. But if you live near by. You know how to access it without paying.
