sweet street - TRAIL

sweet street - Trail, Waterloo, Ontario

dont ride it if you dont wear roach pads. if you dont have a freeride bike forget it, this trail is insane, there are 15 foot drops big gaps, only GOOD riders can ride this.

THe best trail ever, This trail is the Cat's P.Js. They tore down some of the north shore stuff but its all good. Its good slalom racing. It's difficlt but with lots of practice you can do the slalom track without pedaling.

The first time I rode here I was guided by Rad Adam, the creator of the stunts. Great job Adam and thanks again for an awesome ride, as well as an awesome riding spot. The NS stunts are excellent quality; my only complaint about them is that they are nailed to the trees. I can see this being a sever problem as far as eco-cretins are concerned. Enough talk. Go ride the trail.

INSANE, this trail is crazy. i rode it every week in '99 and it was like a regular singltrack trail. boy did i have a suprise when i went in march holy shit, its crazy, mind you ive ridden most of it, exept the 10 footer. make sure your rims dont bend easy, cause i found out the hard way. go ride it, its fun, there are detours around the "obstacles", so, yes, ride it

Customer Service

don't waste your time on this piece of garbage trail.
Adam is a good guy but he has alot of fucking little wannabe groupies ( ie, stan and matt g. )the stuff on this trail isn't hard its stupid, why try to destroy a good bike by dropping off planks???
Sure i'm going to buy a Norco Vps 3, ride sweet street, and within a month the bushings will be dead and the bike looks like a peice of shit. (You know who i'm talking about) don't waste your time out there on this trail, unless you want to be like everyone else trying to kiss ass with adam.

Well, ok, I can't ride all the stunts, but one day I will... how? Because I'm building my own scaled down version of some of these obstacles on a Hydro cut trail called "Labyrinth"...

Anyhow, the trail is otherwise a very challenging and technical singletrack... It'll make a man out of you, otherwise you'll probably end up bitchin' like the two guys bashing the trail... Not for the meek

The only way... (start to finish, ie. top to bottom)

First of all, to the message posters named anti adam (very good thinking, i wish i could think up some creative names like that) and mofo (same deal, put your real names you wusses), what is you deal? We (stan, matt, phil, me) love that type of trail, so who the fuck are you to start pissing on it. You don't like it, fine, don't ride it, and FUCK OFF! You are most likely the bastard(s) who tore some of it down. You obviosly cant ride any of it, or exsperience the fun and rush of it, so who the fuck are you to bash it? Lets go for a ride sometime and see who the better rider is? Why don't you pic a fight with us face to face! So, no, you FUCK OFF.

Now for the rest of you who can learn to love this new school type of riding, it is the shit. Sweet street is the shit. A phat 10 footer, a 8 footer, some A frames, and titter-totters is just to start. It is the most fun trail i can think of. All the stunts are built awsome and have sweet lines. If you are in to the sort of "north shore" riding this is it.

Stunts that are included are : tetter-totters (2), big drops (10, 8, and two 5 footers), A frams, a long ass sky bridge ending with a 7 foot gap drop, and some nice dirt jumps.

Recomendations : Freeriding bike, pads, balls.

Have Fun.

Yeah this trail is shaping up really nice, and it's pretty wild. This is an updated review because I feel my first one was invalid because I wasn't riding it with a FR bike...
But if ridden with a FR bike and proper confidence inspiring armour you can better appreciate what the creators might have been thinking...
If you can learn how to perform the stunts you'll get a real rush out of it... Not too much else around here compares to the height of some of these obstacles, especially on the Reaper? Waterdown? side of Sweet Street with that 8footer, which mind you has a real nice gradual decline off the end.
Whatever, I said I was upgrading my review, so it's 5/5 IF you know how to ride any of these stunts. If you don't know what you're doing, and you aren't using proper equipment, don't ride it and really when I think about it, I shouldn't review it because I couldn't even ride it before. Just staying on the ground was pretty good, but only if you're an XC minded rider... If you don't like stunts, don't ride it and don't critisize this trail just because you can't ride any of these stunts... the trail isn't made for whining posers. If you can't ride this trail, try riding easier stuff first...

Customer Service

Just do any stunts you know you can... Otherwise leave it alone or you'll sound like some of the other sorry @ssed whiners here, jeez...

I have never ridin this trail, I ride cross country but Adam whoever you are you have done some amazing things here and the two "A"holes that trashed this place have got to be just jealous
of what you have done, totaly what you see on north shore video's. Like I said I don't ride this stuff but I'll give it a 5 to off set what the jerks posted

My friends and I ride these trails once or twice a week, all of us with different abilitites from 1st or 2nd season guys with new bikes and guys that have been riding for years. We love the wicked single track and climbs. None of us are brave enough to try the northshore stuff but one day I will,I have only been riding steady for just over a year and this trail system is one of my favorites for sure.

Customer Service

You could easily spend a few hours in this bush, there are so many different routes to to take without backtracking too much.
