1 High Park Jumps (High Park) - Trail, Toronto, Ontario

DESCRIPTION

This is some sick riding shit!!! Its pretty much a couple of jumps and one other in the making. Built by the FR crew!!! If you know where to look there is a wicked trail being built around a fallen down tree!!!!

Its may 9th when im writing this and i was down there yester day. This is a nice little jump patch but you really need to be good to jump anything. Its fun for noobs to practise technical riding as everything kinda rolls but jumpability is low.

Customer Service

Same as anyone elses. Be careful cause its not the ride there that will kill you th ride back will, its all uphill.

Decent jumps. Gets overcrowded FAST.

There is a secret bike jump area WAY better and WAY bigger and roomier than this. Usually NO ONE there. All I'll say is it's near some train tracks in Etobicoke

It is really poor advice indeed to suggest MTB's belong anywhere at all in High Park. This property is the crown jewel in the Toronto park system: it deserves maximum respect. It is also a busy park: collision risks are high, especially on nice weekends. Lots of dogs on leashes, children and older people use the park. High Park does not need & can't take the abuse. It is a very historical property & really can't handle MTBs. Don't give MTB opponents a reason to grind the sport: stay away from High Park when you want to ride. Find some place else.

Whoever said the "fr" crew made this trail i think you may be sorely mistaken. I used to ride on the jump pit your talking about 12 YEARS ago. Don't take credit for something you didn't do buddy. If you you were around back then for real, then i thank you- i had a blast as a kid on your "sick shit" jumps

I agree with the last post. High Park is legally off-limits to mountain bikers riding trails. This jump area is off in the corner where there aren't too many people. Get access from it using the roads, not the trails! High Park does patrol with cops, and tickets have been handed out. Don't give cyclists a bad rap, stay off the trails, use the jump area only.

As for the 'fr' crew, you weren't the original guys who built up this area. You may have cleaned it up, and created some jumps but don't take credit for the area. It was there before you were born!

As for jumps, they are fun, but small in number so you easily get bored within a coupla hours.

Customer Service

Same as the others said. USe the roads not the trails to get access to this area.

What this guy fails to tell you is that it is illegal to mountain bike in High Park. You are only allowed to bike in paved areas.

not to many jumps but are fun for a while, I now that it is illegal to ride the trials but they do have some fun fast trails you can ride and me and my friend found another jump kinda hard to explain how to get there but its a not to bad jump so try and look around for it and help us build it if you can find it.

not to many jumps but they can be fun if there built up right and kept maintanted and which they are in the summer. I ride there alot and no cop has ever stopped me and only 1 person has ever asked me to get off the trails and i went all fall this year. almost every weekend since like augest. theres only fast trails nothing that is challenging. high park is good if you want a short ride and want some speed on the trails.

Meh, once your there for a while you tend to get pretty damn bored of it pretty damn quickly. There is about one-two small gaps (depends on what u call small tho) and a couple destroyed rollers and nice little drop to tranny... we have met up with some of the riders who maintain the place there, once in a blue moon there may be a new type of jump built up... If your looking for variety, I 110% guarantee you this is not the place.

Customer Service

Not going to really explain on how to get there because we usually take a very 'low usage' trail to avoid other people and dog walkers.... but it is located in the very south-eastern corner of the park.

I know of a couple of other places, but we gotta keep it relatively secret. :P
