Ok first off, there's no jumps, second, you have to climb, and third, well, the downhills leave something to be desired for this cat. Anyway, if you love xc, you will love macauley. If you're like me and climb is a swearword, you'll hate it. With some work, it could be great, but the Bloomfield bike shop seem kind of Anti-freerider, soo...

Customer Service

The "steep downhill has potential, but it's too short. Also, there could be a great, fairly long, and even raceable dh trail, but the xc weenies won't want it.

Oh this trail makes me happy! There are so many secret little entrances and exits and sweet little trails. You think you know them all, you think you've got a great route and then BAM there's a trail I haven't ridden before in that direction! So challengin, so FUN, so unpretentious. No monorails, no teetertotters just good ol' plain twists and turns and switchbacks and trees and YEEHAW!I love it because I never get too far away from the start point and if I ever get lost I just ride downhill to the parking lot.

Customer Service

A NEW ROUTE for me. Enter the trail on the slab bridge (your first right after the two ski hills!) into the woods and then take your first LEFT over the bridge and then follow that trail. It leads you right over to the bunny snake trail. Then CLIMB. I mean basically you start at the bottom so no matter what you do you have to climb to start. Great warm up. Then boot it across the edge! Don't miss the groovy tuesday!

Try some REALLY UNBELIEVABLY easy trials at the Massassauga Conservation Area (maybe 5k of trails). There are tons of trails on PRIVATE PROPERTY in Prince Edward County. Check out the five club rides at the Bloomfield Bicycle Company to see some of those!

This place is great!! Good for groups of varying abilities. Some roots and little rocky sections but otherwise very smooth. Very hilly and can be deadly after a rain but fun nonetheless. There are two beginner trails that are a blast. 1. Bunny Hill with Snakes is a twisty turny singletrack that meanders around the base of the hill. Leads to an easy way up, relatively speaking that is. 2. Strawberry Fields can be found by taking a left pretty much anywhere once you get to the top of the hill and are riding along the Edge. For the record The Edge is a wicked cool single track that winds along the top oh the hill. It has quick ups and downs and is best ridden fast but watch out for the steep drop-off to the right. Best way down- well there all good even Easy-Up, but my favorite is the trail aptly named "STEEP HILL"

I like the riding at Mac, but its too small to be really good. The land is used pretty well, lots of twisty singletrack. I don't tink its really that demanding either. I like it because its a change of venue, but I always go home feeling a little disappointed.

Customer Service

That's the problem, there isn't one!

This is by far the best area in the Belleville area. Every time I go there, it seems to rain, so the trails are always very technical. If you like tight singletrack, this is definately a good place to hit. The trails are tight and full of roots (which get really slippery when wet!). The trails run through the woods on the side of a steep hill. The trails down the hill are great, but climbing sucks. If you live anywhere near Belleville or Kingston, this is a great spot, by far the best around!

Great trail! Hard climb to the top but it is worth it. Becare careful of all the nasty tree stumps and roots. The trails to the top on the "mountain" get very greasy when they are wet. The ride down the hill kicks ass! There are two different levels of downhills for various skill levels. The weak of heart need not apply for either of the descents! CH.

Customer Service

Take the lower trail into the trees and your first right up the hill for a killer hard climb. Don't expect to make it all the way up if it is even a little wet.

Nice tight single track, no jumps, very slippery when muddy... face of Mac is nice for testing brakes, but if you want real speed try the smaller hill to the right (facing north) and you will get some killer speed. Bloomfield bike shop is SCARY.

Customer Service

Hit the lower trail and go to the far left (facing south).. easiest climb up.. worst way down?? Farthest hill to the left (facing north)... trust me, I learned the hardway.. dent in the frame and a few scars later I made it down...

How can someone rate this trail a "5". It has poor swithbacks, and your constantly riding on an angle. Its not very long either. I think those that think it is so great need to leave Prince Edward County and explore some of the other good trails in the Quinte area. Batawa for example is even better than this trail. Technical stuff it doesn't have.
