River Bluffs - Trail, Galt/Cambridge, Ontario

River Bluffs - Trail, Galt/Cambridge, Ontario

DESCRIPTION

Good x-country with some decent downhill sections. It goes right along the river so it is a very pretty trail.

This is the little crappy trail you ride when you have an extra 10 minutes. We'll send review of the good riding in Waterloo Region soon.

please do not go all the way to cambridge just to ride this trail, you will be highly disappointed!!!
There are much better trails in the Kitchener, Guelph, Cambridge triangle. A couple of them are reviewed on this site.

This trail is a very small one with very little technical parts and decents. The trail takes about 20min to complete.I dont recommend this trail for anyone who doesn't live in cambridge. It's not worth the driving to go on this crap trail for 20min

Minuses:
1. Half this route is PAVEMENT.
2. Both Blenheim Rd and James St are hills so you have to climb at the beginning and end.
3. The trails at Langdon Hall and Blair Rail Trail are multi-use so you have to watch out for Hikers.
4. Both Blenhaim and Blair Rd's are heavy traffic(especially Blair Rd). So you have to watch out for 4 wheelers.

Pluses
1. This is roughly a 20k loop. This can be a good workout.
2. At Langdon Hall you can stop for a couple of frosties (if you got the bucks) or High Tea. Pick one.
3. At the top of Blenheim Rd, it goes down hill with railway track crossing the road. Pick up enough speed and you can get AIR-BORNE.

All the people that have wrote in bad mouthing the trails in the bluffs. Should ride the two new trails, then you can complain if you find it two easy. I found these new trails very technicail and not for the weak of heart. These trails are not that long but they are very cool.

Good thing the idiots below don't know that there are a number of good stunts in the woods. Maybe they did see them but were big pussys and saw them as a hinderance to their lycra clad, heart rate monitor agenda. Stay on your road bike!
