Lots of fun i really enjoy this trail as i am a local and have been riding since i was a kid. I really like the flow of this trail and enjoy most the trails there. Lots of roots and some rock piles. Smooth burms and fast downhills. But there only as fast as you make them, if you want to take it easy you can but if you ride it hard its really fun. Couple new sections put in recently.

Customer Service

Green a-b and red has a great downhill section if you cut right at the top of a hill goes straight down the face instead of s type corners down. Can be tricky if you dont know it. Green b has a bunch of good fast downhills.

Northumberland Awaits You
DVD Hu

The Northumberland Forest is a real treat;

For smooth singletracks it's hard to beat.

Nothing can harm you except for speed,

Or perhaps diving into some 'itchy' weed.

The twists and turns there are just a blast,

Whether going slow, moderate, or too fast.

If the latter then watch out for those hikers;

Don't give a bad rap to us mountain bikers.

With some sandy spots one can wash out;

Thrill seekers may bore and start to pout.

Non-advanced riders will have lots of fun;

Ride it yourself when all is said and done.

Did I mention the user fee is totally free,

Which is appealing to el cheapos like me?

Northumberland awaits you all year long;

Call Cori at Tourism you can't go wrong.

The marked trails are very fast and lots of fun but in no way technical and are mostly wide single track. Across Beagle Club RD. and the other areas the other reviewers mentioned there is more technical single track.

Customer Service

We usually warm up with a red which has a quick climb at the beginning and then the rest is pretty flowy and lots of fun if you're going fast.
Then we hit up the blue until it crosses the fire road, take a left and ride the fire road down a sick burmed downhill section that brings you back out to the green and then follow that from there on.

These trails are pretty lame. I rode the blue and red trails. I've heard the greens the best but after the red and blue I'd seen enuff. Also my dog was pretty hot and there isn't anywhere to swim. I went out after three days of steady showers but the ground was still pretty loose. Like biking along a beach. Lots of ups and downs, not technical at all. No rocks or roots or anything. Would be more fun at pace but the threat of running into a sandy patch and washing out prevents too much speed even if many turns have bearms built up. The single track isn't even twisty turny. McCauly Mountain in picton county is way nicer and has very similar terrain. Maybe it's a result of logging but this isn't like any forest I've ever seen. (Native NB'er) There isn't any soil out here it's just loose sand. Wildlife is also non-existent. There isn't any scrub or low lying vegetation at all--just trees growing in rows. For the experienced rider the trails are lacking. For the beginner the hills present a serious cardio challenge. For canines there is no water.

Various marked and distanced loops. Fairly tight,dry, technical single track situated in natural growth hardwood and plantation coniferous forest. Approx. 50 kilometers of marked trail. Hundreds of kilometers of fire roads and snowmobile trails. Various terrain type some good climbs and some good downhills. Rates from easy to difficult. WARNING: poison ivy

I can't believe the reviewers are saying this trail is technical at all. It is like riding a little slower and more boring and smaller Tsali Trail. Not bad just not technical. It can be alot of fun if going fast is your game on tight singtrack. It can be sandy in sections but if you live or visit the area it is worth a visit.

None just ride around the ski trails

This trail area is fantastic. It is not all narrow single track and it is not technical. However, it is well laid out and a very beautiful ride thur the woods. It is moderate to easy in difficulty.

This loop isn't technical at all to the seasoned rider, but its fast, twisty, and fun. There are no large climbs, except for one loose ascent, and one section is deep sand. The trails starts out with tight, hardpack single track, then to a short sandy section, and then back to hardpack singletrack through a stand of pine trees. This loop is only 10 kms, so do 2 laps. Don't go backwards, you'll get run over, remember that ists fast.

Customer Service

Off the 401 at Cobourg, north to Beagle Club Rd., into Northumberland Forest XC Skiing parking lot. Trailhead is at end of parking lot on the left. Follow loop around and back out to parking lot.
