Muddy is right: ride fast for the first klick or so... I call that part "the Gauntlet". Great trail selection from I-lazy-and-want-easy to I-want-to-go-over-the-bars-today. It's all there!

Customer Service

I usually do a few loops around the single track, then head down the fire road to Waverly Rd. Down the road to Shubie park. Tru the park trails and then across the Hyway (other side of the pit) and up the f%&*^% power line hill (great climb). Then left and back tru the Gauntlet to the car. Gives around 30 klicks. If you are very lucky, you might get to change a flat tire while Halifax's best upcoming female artist sings a song for ya!

I'd like to review it, but I have to find it first!

Customer Service

I'd like to try this trail, but I don't think I could find it. Try describing the location and how to get there a bit better so I don't waste too much time looking for it.

The fire road part of the trail isn't very challanging but it can be fun if you really pedel hard. It can be wet though, so be prepared to get wet.

This trail is suitable for all riders.

The singletrack is very technical. The first part of the trail is muddy but there will be some bridges over the really muddy stuff soon. The second part of the trail is great. It's still technical but faster and drier.

This trail is technical and suitable for intermediate and more advanced riders.

Starting at the Shubie Park campground parking lot...
Starting at the end of the parking lot at the top of the hill (by the fenced in cage thing). Ride down the hill (wide trail) and turn left at the bottom. Immediatly in front of you is a bridge, cross it. Go straight across the trail at the other end of the bridge and go staight another few meters till you get to a wide trail T-ing the trail you are on. Turn right. At the end of the wide trail there is a loop and a little road heading towards the highway (you should be able to see the highway). You go down the hill and then back up to the highway. Now carefully cross the highway. A few meters down the side of the highway there is fireroad going up a hill(look carefully in the ditch it's kinda hard to see sometimes. You have arrived at the trailhead. Go up the hill and just keep going. The trail goes all the way to burnside if you follow the power lines.

Great Trail. My first time on it. It is tough at times and the mosquitos are out in full force looking for blood. The trail is very technical once you get past the first KM. Great practice trail. Recommend it to Intermediate->advanced.

Customer Service

Muddy

Great Fire road riding but you will miss the best part if you don't get into the woods for some serious single track. Keep riding until you enter the woods and then come out again. You'll see a grafitti-ized rock and a trail heading to your left. Maybe fifty feet past there is a rock shelf on your left. Turn left and head back the way you came. At the end of this shelf is a steep drop into the woods. It's fantastic riding. Very technical in spots and I'll bet your gonna walk a bit (or at least dab alot) Great man made obstacles and some beauties from Mother Nature also. YEEEEEEEE HAAAAWWWWWWW

Customer Service

Start on Spectacle Lake Drive by the chain link fence gates. Ride hard for about a minute and a half to get through the....... well you'll know the first time you ride here.
