OK so I went up again and found the actual trail....the first thig you get to is a pretty nice drop....WITH A TREE FELL ACROSS IT! The bridges/ramps/decks whatever you call them are in REALLY bad shape! Not worth even going up on. The tee-der-toder is totally a ghetto rig(it sucks) The only real good section of man made trail is over a bog. Some people need to go up and fix up this trail, and it needs a REAL layout. There are side trails going everywhere. THeres mud, no big deal, then theres the rocks! If you got a Hardtail like I got, stay home its too rough! The best DH section is flying down Mt Carson when you head home!

This I think is a place where somebody who was there before has to show you...after dragging my ass up blackmarsh and then up that gravel road, I got to the top. So I hit a trail...it was rough narrow rocky and wayy too loose to get any grip on. There was 1 pathetic 2 foot or so jump/drop that hada landing on some really big loose rocks around a turn(who designed that!?!?!) And the next thing ya know your at the bottom of blackmarsh again. Supposedly theres some GOOD trails up here but In my mind ya gotta work like a dog to get up there and explore each time.

I ride this trail often because I live in Cowan Heights and it's so close to where I live. Funny, as often as I'm up there, I have never seen another rider. This is a fun trail and it will definately help improve your riding skills. It's narrow in parts, and there is some man-made stuff(that I have never ridden). I wouldn't recommend this for beginniners.

Get on blackmarsh road, then go up Redmond's Road(dirt road), stick to the left, when you get to the top, there will be a road going to the left, and one going staight up to some weird towers. Go to the left, ride around the building at the top and go down the hill and then the trail starts at the left. There's an abrupt right somewhere, take that.. don't go straight.. well i guess you could go straight, but I don't know where it goes. It's really easy to miss. I only found the trail after the markings were still up from a race that was up there one day.

Definetly my favourite trail around town. The harder you work, the better it becomes. Some good downhill, technical sections that requires quick reflexes, but it always get the blood pumping.

By far the best trail in the east of the province! I ride this trail from 3-5 times a week and it keeps me asking for more! You will not think this if you do not know how to complete this circuit. I have ridden the North Shore of Van. and it is somewhat similer on a lower level. There are 2 sections of single track with technical sections in each and also very fast areas. There is a fast but sectionally bumppy straight section of double track. A trail leads you past a tower across a field to another tower where you then enter a single track downhill. You then will pop out onto Reddmens road(dirt road). Turn right and start crusing up hill. It is about 1.5km to the transmission towers. The climb is as tough as you want to make it. From there you enter the best part of the trail...the downhill. This has it all, fast singletrack, log jumps, platforms and a tee-ter-totter. This trail is always under construction so every time you ride it there could be something different done. To really enjoy this trail you should ride with a skill level of intermediate to advanced but I encourage everybody to check it out.
