Lots of downed trees on the trail Sept 2009. If you don't mind a hike a bike around these obstacles then go for it. Still was a blast just couldn't ever get into a good flow.

this is an awesome trail!!!!!! i love it soo much. its long, has fun rock faces,it gradually gets steeper and more technical as you make your way down the mountain. but keep in mind that this is a long ride if you ride from the svaboda parking lot so make you sure you have enough time to ride it at an enjoyable pace.

Customer Service

i would say to make sure you ask the locals about how you get to the trail head. its a long ways up the road, and ends up way out of town so make sure that you are prepared for breakdowns.

Amazing trail. Ride from town, climb is a great workout. After entering the trailhead navigate twisting cross country singletrack, then hang on for a wild descent with optional lines. Trail ends at the lake which makes it even sweeter. Local club worked to eliminate erosion on the trail, they did an amazing job. Hope the club continues.

Customer Service

As described already.

Nice long trail that will satisfy any advanced rider. disks are a major asset on the downhill becasue it's long and even with dual disks your hands will ache. Some "extreme" stuff mixed with sweet downhills and great views.

Customer Service

there's only one route

First part is very rolly polly with some pretty technicle uphills. Kinda cross country. Then drop your seat for some killer downhill. Lot's of big rock faces with any line to choose. I suggest you don't take your girlfriend along, unless she's ready for a long ride. Mine almost died on the trail, I almost died at home.

Customer Service

Ask a local for details. It is a hell of a climb up, but well worth it.

Lots of variety. It's got a little bit of everything. Nothing too sick. Some nice rock drops (dont require a wheelie) a mellow bridge and "the dirty crack" Long and tiring. The drops have nice run-ins and run-outs. I can almost clean it on a hardtail so have fun!

first, find the CIC campus in fairview. Then ride way the hell up Subvota Rode. Pass the gate and Long Subvota. As soon as the road flattens out, you will see Logjam on your right. Its another kick ass trail that links up with long Subvota. So anyhoo, keep going past this trail for 1/4km. it starts on your left and is easy to miss.
You end up out at a beach called Troop. From hear you can ride the CPR tracks back to town over a few trussells and end up with one real raw ass back to Billby rode and then into fairview. Or you can ride the old (removed) BN tracks back to subvota rode wich is slighly uphill. Unless you've got some major hemroids that you want to burst, i would recommend riding the BD tracks.

My favorite trail in British Colombia. It is strenous and exhilerating. Nothing too bad--well depends on your definition. The trail is simply the best of Nelson.

Be warned, tourist boy expecting full on downhill, kind of an all out hard core cross-country at the start with lots of techy ups on rock slabs and steep singletrack, just be patient and soon the trail rolls over many crazy rock slabs and ends up turning into mega long downhill trip, So good. Keep an eye out for "the dirty crack", a downhill sloping rock ledge ride that is hanging on a cliff side with certain death below if you fall off.

way up svboda road, past the park gate, past the svboda traverse on your right, keep grunting until you pass through a smallish rock outcropping that looms up on either side of the road; road tops out right after this; logjam starts here on the right, and a bit further the epic 'bag' begins on the left; be ready for long flat grind on the old rail grade back to town at the end(about 8km)
