KIDS STUFF AND SPLITTING BEARS - Trail, FERNIE, British Columbia

KIDS STUFF AND SPLITTING BEARS - Trail, FERNIE, British Columbia

DESCRIPTION

Kids stuff is pretty technical, a few log rides, teter toter and a slow side hill climb, with other log crossings, and splitting bears is a fast technical cross country but more down than up and it takes you to the bottom

Lotsa tricks, nothing too radical though. The singletrack would be primo even without the obstacles, but they are what makes this ride rock.

Customer Service

As described by Jeremy, or for a longer ride combine this with Sidewinder, Broken Deraileur and
Little Chainring-Big Trouble.

Relatively easy climb up a gravel road to the single track. This trail has lots of stunts and tricks that B.C. is famous for. If you have never ridden stunts this is a great place to learn because most (not all) are rideable for beginners after a few tries and they are low to the ground so if you biff you will not end up at Fernie Hospital. The single track is also worth the ride. Lots of short steep climbs and descents, switchbacks, off camber stuff and other character building experiences.

Customer Service

We rode up the gravel road that starts from near the dump (Oops!, Transfer Station) and rode the trail until it comes out at the gravel rode near the bottom. (Get a map, they are readily available in Fernie and are great for finding all the trails in the area)

I have only done Splitting Bears myself, which I enjoyed. Nothing too technical. Kind of a cross country down hill thing. Logs, some berms, ups and downs. Good trail but certainly not the best Fernie has to offer.

These trails suck it!! Fernie locals need to fix stuff or at least warn people that trail ratings in the local trail map are way over-rated!

Customer Service

see above for directions or go buy a trail map, that way you can ride something else once you find out that these trails blow

Although I definitely have not ridden Fernie enough to make a overall statement about the area, The trails I have checked out so far are short and boring, easy type stuff, lots of XC style on these rides; if you like the sounds of this then check out Roots and Extension, or Annoying little chainring, or What's up Doc , lots of crap here
