Hard as Hell

Customer Service

Instead of going on the sheiks go straight through the three way and you will come upon Screamin Demon. Bet your ass you wont come out alive!

This trail will lull you into a false sense of security at the beginning with some level twisty singletrack, then it drops of the face of the earth. Lots of open rocks (great views), steep dusty descents, other miscellaneous insanity. Some parts are easier to ride than they are to walk. If you are riding a hardtail, put your seat way down (yes, that steep).

Customer Service

Take Boston Main from Forbidden Plateau Road. Instead of turning left to 2 Sheiks & a Dog go straight across the 3way into the brushy old landing. Look around.

Similar Products Used: Any you can find in the area. Most hook back up to B. Main or the Comox Lake logging road. DON'T get lost out here. Best to hook up with some (friendly) locals or ask a a shop.

This is simply a North Shore trail, the best one we have, that I know of. It's steep, even the best of riders will find it hard to stay in control the whole time. Thats not to say that its not ridable, just semi-difficult to stay on your bike. It certainly isn't a trail for beginners, however , if you've been looking for a trasil to challenge you, this is it! If you've ridden the North Shore you can handle this easily, and if you havn't, well give it a try and see what happens. I'll tell you one thing, even if you walk down half the trail the first time, the next weekend you'll be up there doing the stuff you didn't do the first time, because it's so Damn Fun!

Customer Service

Follow other's advice, You'll see it marked with flagging tape.

Similar Products Used: - Two shieks, is ok, more of a XC trail with downhill sections, whereas The Demom's a downhillers trail.

This is a good trail, in fact a great trail. Probably the most difficult in the area, but certainly fun even if you can't ride the whole thing. For very beginners, I would say start with Tomato Creek, and maybe in six months, if you've improoved try this trail. For riders looking for a challenge, 2 sheiks and monkey's no longer challenge you, this trail is perfect. Unless you're a North Shore rider I dought if you'll be able to ride the whole thing, there are some scary chutes, really steep descents etc. But give it a try. I guarantee you'll have fun and be wanting to try it the next weekend! And by then you'll try some of the more challenging stuff, or at least won't walk the WHOLE thing, and have a great time!

It's a downhillers trail so if you're really only into the XC stuff I'd leave it alone, but if nothing else it will give you an adrenalin rush!

Good Luck!

Customer Service

Follow previous routes, except look for marking tape and follow it.

Similar Products Used: This is for sure my favorite. The rest just aren't challenging enough. However they're still fun: Tomato Creek, Vulcans. And there are some really nice drops on transmision.

Windy subapline single track at top opens into fast exposed slopes (follow the cairns) that eventually drop into temperature pine and firs above B-52 and the upper lake trails (arbutus, transmission trail, etc.). get lots of sketchy fast loose ripping sections that make the effort gettting there worthwhile.

Customer Service

Go up the Forbidden Plateau Road up towards the old ski hill (gravel) until you get to the Mtn Becher trail head (at the switch back before most of the cabins). Follow the double track a ways until you get to the branch of 2sheiks and a dog and the Becher Trail. Go straight between these choices and you'll see singletrack heading into the woods-Screamin' Demon

Like the other's reviews it's pretty XC for the first 10-15 mins then you get to exposed faces. Lower your seat and have fun!! It's all rideable and very fast. Some very steep technical sections. North Shore?? Definatley not but there are some really fun stunts. A teeter totter up in a tree, riverbed Gap jump, Barrel jump into a gulley etc. etc. When you get to an intersection at the bottom and you can go left or right, stick right and try Rudy's. A new trail that's lots of fun. Has some tricky moves so scope it first.
I'm a freerider who likes steeps and jumps and I had a great time.

Hope you like it!

Customer Service

At the intersection of 2 sheiks go straight ahead instead of up into 2 sheiks. You'll ride past the Boy Scout's contraptions that they build in an opening. Go to the back left hand side of the opening and there is a trailhead. Screamin' Deamon!
