The Dilemma (Cultus Lake) - TRAIL

The Dilemma (Cultus Lake) - Trail, Chilliwack, British Columbia

Ride up the right branch (Upper Parmenter Road) of the fire road. The road branches again about 5 minutes up....take the left (the steep one) this time. After about 10 minutes of steeeeeeep fire road grunting you will see single track diving off the left side of the road....your there. The single track has a little of everything.....steeps that will make you want to cry, nasty steps over big logs, steep scary switchbacks, cool wooden bridges, lots of slippery roots and other cool eco-nasties. The trail ends on lower parmenter road behind a big yellow gate on the now un-used military road. A 1 minute jaunt will take you back to your car. Total round trip time is about 25-30 minutes....you can do it again and again to see how much flesh you can surrender to the wilderness.

This is a great ride.....it always presents a new challenge and the single track can change dramatically depending on the number of riders on it that week. When its dry, you can crank up the speed and really feel the adrenalin go....when its wet, it can be a real nasty dog waiting to bite you (lots of slick clay-type dirt that is hard enough to walk down let alone ride. The one draw back is that the trail has seen a great deal of degradation from riders sliding their tires and from motorcyclists riding on it when its wet.

Trail is awesome, has some man made wooden bridges, leading to a 7-8' drop, lot's of logs, roots, and all those other goodies. Downfall would be getting up there.

this trails is nice lots of bridges , steeps , drops , jumps , this trail has every thing i highly reccomend it. this trail is not very hard except for some of the steeps. The only thing bad is the ride up i reccomend catching a ride with the locals.

Customer Service

just go up the lagging road and take a left till u get to the trail .

Similar Products Used: instead of turning left on the gravel road go straight till u get to the second trail opening on that side.
