I just went out to FC last Friday and as a rider who used to ride lots but hasn't had the time to get out there since becoming a dad, I have to give the park officials props for having such a diverse park to ride in. It gave me lots of chance to ease back into my rythm and balance. I never knew how diverse the trails were until last Friday. I ended up on the South side of the canyon as I meandored my way through the vast single track. I found myself smack dab in a bog with log crossing or planks for some of the longer ones. Right after that I hit a path with a huge tree downed across it. I don't feel comfortable enough to tackle log jumping yet but it was intriguing to see the path was fresh on either side so there are some fabulous riders using FC currently. After that I found myself on a ridge about 100 ft above the creek and staring at a huge climb up a stump ridden path amoungst some old stand of Spruce. Awesome! But it was way too technical for me. On the back side of the climb, drops! Steep enough to make you think hard about whether this one is worth a broken limb or not. Crazy awesome stuff. I wanted to take a video and post it but I was on a tight sched. Anyway, Trails were awesome. Flat single track was fast and fresh, and the tech stuff can get overwhelming if you so wish. Can't believe this is in the City!

Bit of a way out but on 22X west, go to Elbow Falls, head across the highway to the entrance to Powderface Creek Trail. Truly a trail that is geared for a weekend warrior as myself.

I reviewed this trail a few years ago. I'm doing it again because it's changed so much. The flooding a couple of years back carried away most of the bridges and destroyed a lot of groomed path way and trail. It also added opportunity to re-explore old ground. New trails are emerging. There's a lot of river wash gravel around, which is kind of a crappy biking surface. But that's mostly just on the way to where you really want to be anyways, which is towards the ends away from Macleod Trail. I picked up a new Kona this year. So I'm stoked to get back out there. Still my favourite weekend spot. Still a good four flaming turds!

Fish Creek is great! It supplies any type of biker from begginer to extremist with great trails. There are so many trails to ride you probably coouldnt ride them all if you had 10 years. I usually single track in Fish Creek and its great fun just finding new trails with great surprises. Even though it says I ride this trail once a week I usually ride it 4-5 times a week. I cant really give Fish Vreek a rating becaue it ranges from some of the easiest trails to utmost terrifying trails. For this I am giving it top marks accross the board.

Paved trails, main dirt trails enclose the creek while there are many other smaller trails all over the park. Riding for everyone from families to those looking for a challenge. Also since the park is in the city, its easy and quick to get to. I bike there whenever I go. Takes me about 20 minutes to get down there from where I live in Oakrdige.

Customer Service

I always come down 24th street since I live just a bit off it. I go down to Bebo Grove and basically try different trails every time. I usually do a loop going either east or west and make my way back to Bebo Grove and head back north on 24th street home.

I have lived next to fish creek for almost 12 years and i still have yet to compete all of the trails that FC has to offer. It has paths for the utmost beginners as well as trails that make even the most advanced riders sweat. I would recommend this park for anybody who takes biking seriously. its not a bad view either! Well pruned trails make for nice afternoon rides and several drops, rivers, logs and rocks are also available for those who like to kick it up a notch! if you are considering fish creek for a place to ride, you will have a massive amount of riders that will endorse your decision!

even though it says once a week, it's more like everday, fish creek is amazing. so close to home with great views and an escape from the city even though only minutes away while still inside it. there are millions of trails and stunts for people of all skills weather it be cruising the paths on a warm summer day to super gnarly downhill and technical freeride to epic cross country, fish creek really has it all!!

Customer Service

my favorite place to ride in fish creek is in the western half of it on the west side of mcleod trail, that, generally is where most of the gnarly stuff starts, bebo and shanon terrace is where most of the shore like stuff and technical freeride are located, lots of fun! although some good dirt jumps and smaller trails are located throughout the whole park

I spent 2 mornings riding the western part of Fish Creek Park on a visit to Cowtown last fall. Our friends live in Millrise, I was blown away to find such great singletrack a 5 minute ride away! This area has it all, technical downhills, fun climbs, creek crossings, wildlife, etc. I managed to ride all of the trails I found (except one area of North Shore style stunts) and I found them to be excelent. I really liked one area on the extreme west end where there is a very rooty long downhill, although the only way I found up was to shoulder the bike! I can't imagine finding better riding in any urban area. Great place to ride!

With out fish creek i probably wouldnt love biking as much as i do. There is endless trails, and all the fun is in exploring and finding new wicked trails.

Customer Service

the west end of the park has got the most, but there is also a decent trail on the riverbank right behind diamond cove.

Great trails and a great place for a family ride or a quick hour or two after work. This is a well maintained park right in the middle of Calgary suburbs. On weekends, it can be crowded. The park itself is worth 5/5 but the crowds can detract from enjoyment.

Customer Service

Tons of trails with a variety of levels. Everything from paved to smooth to steep hills.
