Two Creeks Track - Trail, Lindfield, Australia

Two Creeks Track - Trail, Lindfield, Australia

DESCRIPTION

This trail has everything. It has downhill fire trail, Up and downhill technical singletrack, smooth rolling singletrack, a small avalanche, overhanging rocks etc. The trail follows the shoreline of Middle Harbour for a few kilometres. I find the trail best if I turn around at the other end, and then do it in reverse. It is fast in both directions. Watchout for walkers, as usual, but dogs too, people like to take them on this trail.

This is a great trail.

I mostly start at the bottom of the dip of Arterial Road, because the stairs that come down from the tennise courts are scary :P

Be careful of old people and families walking the trail. 95% of people around here are good people and will yield the trail if you slow down to pass them.

The trail has nice steps, small drops and a few jumps, all rolled up in a nice package of rolling singletrack.

(Dont go on Mothers day/ other similar days as young familys with toddlers and grandparents/ invalids are out in force)

Customer Service

I start at the bottom of the dip on Arterial Road. You are on a firetrail for the first couple of hundred metres, if you willing to put the effort in and sprint you can get some nice air of the jumps. The firetrail ends appbruptly and you have to walk up the big set of stairs/ unrideable rocks. There is a short section which you can ride followed by another walk. Then there is a great section of singletrack that that rolls gently downhill with rocks and drops. The trail takes a sharp right hand turn an brings you to a three way intersection. You can head up the hill to get back to a road (somewhere in the back of Lindfield).

Or you can cross the tiny bridge into the second section. The second section is technically simpler by involves a bit of pedalling. There are a few more tiny drops and roots. You will eventually come to a fork. Which will either take you down towards the water or slightly uphill. You will pass underneath Roseville Bridge. If you turn uphill the trail will eventually come out about 30m from a very quiet childrens playground with a benches and a table if you want a rest. Simply follow the road up the hill and you will end up on the Pacific Highway.

This trail is okay but it doesn't come close to the excitement level that other trails like "The wall of death" and "Mt. Oicenivav" can provide!!

I like this trail because it does have a wide variety of terrain. It does lack any super steeps though. It isn't well drained either. Afte any bad rain, it is more technical. I like this trail though, it is my local.

A good ride for general excercise. Pleasant area, but too many walkers and dogs in the late afternoons.

Maybe worthwhile mentioning that there are quire a few steps on the way so be prepared to carry your bike every now and then. One section of the track is officially closed due to maintenance work, but you can easily get around the spot. Repairs don't seem to move, it any ranger reads this who needs a hand with fixing the track, just drop me a line.

Customer Service

If you're just in the mood for a "quickie" you can also exit at Carlyle Rd, turn right when you get out of the park, turn left when you get to Wellington Rd which leads into Tryon Rd that takes you back to the station.

this is a good training trail with some good sinhle track it is not good to go in the middel of the day becasue there are a lot of walkers but early morning is the best you have the trail to your self. There is one good little rock garden and a good descent at the end of the trail both directions of the trail are quick and fast but there are a few steps you have to carry your bike up

Head along the trail that goes beside the tennis courts, go down the stairs when you get to them and follow track along past all the rock climbers, take the left hand turn that goes down some more steps and then just hang on as the next hundred meters are quite technical - it gets harder as it goes down but finishes at the start of the original review. The trail maintanence was completed a while ago and they have also done some backburning recently which has widened the track and made it faster. We normally ride to the bridge turn around and come back. Heaps of fun in both directions enough trick bits to keep you interested and no big hills nice and undulating.

Can start from Lindfield tennis courts for something a bit more exciting

A very sweet track. My favourite, done it heaps. Plenty of stairs going down from the tennis courts. Then the fire trail part has some pretty decent jumps thrash it along this part. You have to carry the bike a bit to get up some rocky sections. There are rocky sections going both ways from roseville bridge is the best rocky section. There are some good small spread out steps that are good to drop off and fun to ride up. It also has a good bit of singletrack. A very important part of riding this track is bumming. I reccomend the rest spot where the track splits and there is the little bridge and the stone seat. Another good bum spot is a rock looking out over middle harbour it is about half way through the rocky section coming from the tennis courts. This is a very good spot to let off bungers which are essential to bring. There is a nice fat echo there. Another good spot to let off bungers is an abandoned bridge near the end of the fire trail bit there is a big red sign there warning you to not cross or something. It is quite high up, a bit rickety, and has some gaps. Dropping bungers of is mad. Also if you want to ride down a crazy set of stairs there is a good set near the start of the fire trail bit branching off the track.
Youll recognise if im there if u hear bungers, see me bumming with fellow riders. My bike is a very gay Gary Fisher with a fat back red tire though i hope im getting a nu 1 soon if u recognise me on the track from this review say hi!!

Customer Service

Go down the track from the tennis courts - heaps of stairs- the more the merrier. After the rock climbing place theres a split hang a left round the corner follow down. Here you will find a more open fire trail part with some decent jumps just follow all the way along after quite a while theres a split - turn left across the little bridge and continue to roseville bridge, then turn back and do it all the other way.
