okay at the start get some speed up and muck around in the trees. Jumps are okay nothing big so hit them really fast. coming on to the driveway hit that jump fast and try and clear the gate. into the middle section slow down or you could screw yourself little drp jump thing, little drop then another small jump head over next driveway and down steep part let your brakes go and hold on when next to barb wire at turn you can either go left onto the mud or right off a drop and into some trees be careful on the left root because of mud and two pointy strands of barb wire. quick right turn hammer over next jump and keep on trail get back on road and go to the Glen.

Well I thought this place was free but when i got there some kid made me pay a $6 trail fee. The track turn out to be good for my skill level. Nice fast singletrack and plenty of jumps. Over about 1.2 km's there were 7 jumps and 2 drops the kids who made it this track have sure put alot of effort in to it and its turned out great. I went down it 3 or 4 times and it takes about 2 minutes. My best time was 1:51. The kid there helped me out and told me about other jumps and tracks in the area and I can't wait to try them.

Pros:
Fast
Good for beginners to intermediates
Big Jump at bottom

Cons:
Mud
Barb Wire

Try to go there on a sunny day and don't forget the $6 track fee

My mates Edward, Rob, Dan, Peter Ben and I put alot of hard work to make this track. It starts at Bannons Lane North runs down Halleys Gully Rd for about 1.2km. It is made up of jumps, drops, fast sections and won big jump at the end wich is still being worked on. This track is still not finshed with more jumps, big drops and harder conditions to tackle. It takes about 2 minutes to ride down and its worth the walk up the hill just to go down it. For riders with a Intermediate skill level.

I stacked on the first jump and broke my wrist but i keept on going because i wanted to be a man. On the three drop of section i wraped myself around a tree. But of coarse i keept on going. I sliced my neck on the barbwire but kept on going. On the big jump i broke my leg. It was the hardest track i had ever ridden.

Kids in the Hustbridge area have been working on a new downhill mountain bike track that runs along the side of Halleys Gully Road. Work was started on the Hustbridge track in April of this year. Since then the track has greatly improved. Weekend after weekend of hard work from Edward Phillips, Robert Munday, Daniel Brunton, Ben Jones, Peter Reale and myself Jake Dempsey has paid off developing one of the best downhill mountain bike tracks in the area.

The track is best suited for a person with an intermediate skill level. It is a single track with jumps, drops and a fast downhill section. Its best to go to the track on a nice day, as it can be quite muddy, wet and dangerous in the rain. It goes for 1.2km and in one-section runs along a bard wire fence so take care.

This is what some of the guys say about the track.

BEN: The track is very good but can get very muddy when wet which can be dangerous. All and all I give it 4 out of 5 stars.

DANIEL: This track is very good. When I first got there, there was heaps of potential and now its nearly finished. Soon there will be north shore ramps and drops which will make the place even better.

The track is not yet finished with more jumps; bigger drops and harder conditions tackle to be added. It takes about 2 minutes to ride down and its worth the walk up the hill to go down. It doesnt matter what these guys and myself think you have to try it for yourself.

Train to Hurstbridge, ride out towards Mernda up Halleys Gully Rd. When you get to corner of Bannons lane and Halleys Gully rd go in to the bush on the right side of the road. Track should be there unless some tool moved it.

The track is pretty fucked because all of us can't be bothered getting off ours arse and developing the it. The jumps need to be built up and more trails need to be constructed. One day I will pull my finger out of my ass and do something with it.
