Directions to Trailhead:	From the SR9 SR17 Intersection in La Verkin (where the new Chevron is)go about 1 mile or so up the SR9 (going towards Zion)until you see the Shooting Range off the North side of the road just as you come to the top of the hill. Park by the shooting range.
Trail Description:	The trail goes North along the foot of the small mesas, it is an old jeep road and goes back in quite a ways. There is a lot of area to explore and the scenery is beautiful. You can also work your way down the old road (Nephi's Twist) and come out in Toquerville or La Verkin Creek area. Lots to explore and plenty of room, no crowds.

Recommended Route: Moenkopi Trail. Start at the La Verkin Twist shooting range and continue North until the big wash then go up the wash and continue North clear to La Verkin Falls. Other recommended trails in the same area: JEM, Hurricane Rim, Goosberry, Little Creek, Church Rocks, Leeds to Church Rocks, Crater Hill up Dalton Wash (yet to be named) Rockville Bench Trail (Swamp Trail?), my back yard.
Review: Moenkopi Trail is the official name. This is my 3rd review. We finally had the time and finished the trail. It is close to a 5 hour ride. The trail ends at the La Verkin Falls; one of the best swimming holes in S. Utah. It is an old ATV trail and therefore isn't the best for mountain bikes. There are a lot of ups and downs along the way. Be prepared to push your bike up about 15 small climbs. But the downhill parts and flat areas are great. It can be a little soft at times and dusty if it has been real dry or a 4 wheeler has been on the trail. The scenery is incredible and you won't find any more seclusion anywhere on earth. Cel phones work great in the area vbecause of the antena towers above Toquerville look down an the whole trail. We GPS'ed it and it is all on BLM and we are working with BLM to get the trail classified as an official trail. La Verkin City has sanctioned it. Recommended Route: Start at the shooting range and go North. When you drop down into the big wash go up the wash and take the 4 wheeler trail on the left and continue north up the mesa. Review: This is my 2nd review, I have done a little more exploring and found a lot more trail. As you get to the end of the road, you drop into a wash. At this point go up the wash a hundred yards or so and then continue north on a 4 wheeler trail. It goes a long ways and has fantastic scenery and seclusion. The trail is steep for a while and thenm flattens out up on top. I think it is the old cattle trail they used to bring the livestock off of the Hurricane mesa, I have been told if you continue on the trail it goes clear to the top! Someday I will try it. Or, better yet, go to the top and find the way down. Ran into the biggest deposit of mica I have ever seen.	Overall Rating:

Recommended Route: Just started at the shooting range and took the old road North clear to the end, took a couple of offshoots and explored the area. Other recommended trails in the same area: GEM trail, Gooseberry, Church Rock.
Review: We enjoyed the area, beautiful area, secluded, I enjoyed it. Not a real long trail and not much single track, but has a lot of potential if someone wanted to further develop it. Some areas were a little muddy (it had just rained). Overall it is a great ride and the access is easy and in close proximity to other great trails.	Overall Rating:
