The best way up is hard to describe but it's fun exploring. I go to the top of corner canyon past the Jacobs Ladder trailhead to a place where there is a sign that has a map of the Draper trail system. After that sign I take the third left which is very quick and go over a small hill until you get to a main road (not far) and take a left. Go straight up the hill and then right at the top to traverse around the hill and stay on the main road for about a mile maybe less. You need to veer left most of the time if you start to go downhill you have gone too far and will have to backtrack. Eventually, you will find yourself on top of a ridge in the middle of a trail, this is the Jacobs Ladder trail. Most of the fun stuff is below you but you can go up for a little more, very rugged climbing to a perch where it is not uncommon to see Golden Eagles soaring in the thermals.

See my review on Corner Canyon if you want to do the full nasty.

Review:

Jacobs Ladder is not for the timid, I have broken several riders on this trail. The top part is an open ridge that is a mixture of hard rock, gravel and hard & soft sand. It will keep you on your toes the whole way down. You do share the trail with hikers and sometimes with horses so don't go any faster than you can stop in the distance you can see. The last little shot before you get back to the road is a nasty little roller coaster ride on hard packed sand with a lot of little ball bearings, most people walk this shot but walking it is not a lot safer. Shortly after that you end up on the Corner Canyon road in a parking area. Most people think that this is the end -- most people are missing the best part. If you go straight through the parking lot you will end up on the lower ladder. This is a narrow single track filled with stream crossings and overgrown branches and is very fun. If you follow this trail you will eventually end up at the Draper Equestrian Stadium.

Fun little down hill...Watch your speed or you'll be picking gravel out of your face for a week. Great views. Be respectful or access will be gone... I would recommend a XC or DH bike for intermediate riders and above. Only take your beginner wife or girlfriend if you never want them to ride again. This will turn them off if you say this is "fun" to a beginner.

Corner Caynon, that mountain.

Review:

This trail is the hardest one Ive ever had to find, but once you get to the top it kicks.(I would tell you where to go but i don't even know). Has a couple of drop offs and parts where the mountain drops off on both sides. Don't go to fast or you'll see what it is like to really fly. The uphill is killer and takes some searching to find the top of the downhill. Great for training!
