Trail Description: |
Lots of red slickrock and desert singletrack, but the ride is short overall. The basic loop is a little hard to follow in the beginning (the blazes are fading), but you're close to I-15 the whole way, so you won't get lost. The slickrock is a blast. |

Recommended Route: I was told by a local that there is a way to access this trail from the north. If anyone has details please provide. The usual south access, as described in previous reviews, has become a bit inconvenient due to the "no trespassing" posting.

Recommended Route: Drive through Washington Ut. on old U.S. 91. Approx. a mile and a half after the Self storage lot you will come to the top of a rise. On your left you will see a dirt road with a cattle gaurd and a chain painted bright orange. Park here and ride the road north approx. one mile. Don't worry about the No Trespassing Sign, it's there for cars not bicycles. You will come to a fork in the road. Go left and down a steep jeep road. If you come to a water tank you went the wrong way. If you took the correct fork you should end up right under the freeway. Follow the trail from here into a drainage tube. You will come out on the North West side of I-15. The ride starts here.

Recommended Route: We went to the beginning of the dirt road and found a no tresspassing sign so we decided to take a different route. We drove up the freeway, I15, coming out of Washington and about a mile before the Hurricane, Zion National Park turnoff, there is a watertank up on the hill. There is a nice pulloff here. You should be right under the water tank, looking up at a lave cliff that is made up of columner jointed lava. You have to cary or walk your bike down into the wash and ride under the freeway in a large culvert. Nice echo in here. You are heading North and you have to go about 100 or 200 meeters up the wash untill there is redrock off to the right. There is a trail off to the right. If you can just get up on top you will find the trail. The real trail goes off to the left, climbs some god forsaken lava rocky crap and then drops back down in the wash about 100 meeters on up. Someone needs to find a better route and mark it good. If you just go up the wash and keep looking off to the right for the trail. The trail climbs up the ridge and goes up to the top of the sandstone outcropping you are seeing.

Recommended Route: Go to Telegraph road and follow it north towards Hurricane until you come to the top of the Mesa directly out of Washington, turn left at the Cattleguard and drive to the water tower. Park and descend down the trail through the tunnel that go's under I-15 and ride the loop clockwise.
