Recommended Route: Is there a way to get there anymore? It was one of my favorite trails in the area a couple years ago but when I've gone since the trail is blocked off by a pretty serious fence. Other recommended trails in the same area: Sundance

Recommended Route: Follow Dan's route to Cascade Springs. The creek is relatively high--even in late August. Then follow Eric's loop route back to the dam. Other recommended trails in the same area: South Fork Provo area
Review: This ride was great. It's all on double-track off-road trails which get challenging because there are tons of loose rocks and deep ruts. The climb to the overlook of Midway is not too hard, but the rest of the climb gets tough. The ruts get bigger and since it had just rained, everything was pretty loose. The initial descents are filled with loose rocks which can eat you up if you go too slow. Honestly, the first drops are pretty tough. After that it smoothes out and turns into great double-track with banked turns taking you to Deer Creek Reservior. Overall a great climb and decent with a rewarding bomber descent! Give it 5 wheels even though it is double-track.	Overall Rating:

Recommended Route: Follow Dan's directions to the trailhead. Other recommended trails in the same area:
Review: Follow the route Dan describes to get to Cascade Springs. The Cascade Springs trail actually loops back to Deer Creek if you want to add 8 miles or so to the trip Dan described. From the Cascade springs parking lot continue up the fire road/dirt road towards Heber and Midway. Keep climbing until you can start to see the outskirts of Midway. The fire road starts to decend here but don't follow it unless you want to end up miles from where you parked. There is a trail to the right at the top of this hill. Take that. After a short climb and descent you will come to a fork. Go left. If you go right the trail eventually ends and you'll need to turn around. After that fork the trail is pretty easy to follow. This section of the Cascade Springs trail is much more difficult than the first part. You will eventually descend to the shore of Deer Creek and you can follow the train tracks back to your car! Review: Fire road with lots of hill climbs. Trail ends at Cascade Springs a beautiful natural mountain spring. The trail crosses a creek a couple of time so be prepared to get wet. Some fairly technical rocky terrain. Up and back trip takes approximately 2 hours.	Overall Rating:
