Trail Description: |
If you want a "rescue trail" while on the road, this is the one: it's for real. Start at the lot, take a right, then take wither Soccer or Lake Road (Rock Garden) into the heart of the trail system. Off of Soccer, Saddle is a nice climb over roots and singletrack, then a sweet descent through singletrack and creekbed. Lake Road is generally a rock garden for @1/4 mile, then turns into a nice little descent into the trail system. You can't really get lost out here, as everything eventually runs either to the Power Cut or to Middle Trail, either of which provide a quick way out. Some nice rides: the Hill Of Truth is a fire road ascent/descent that lives upt to its name. Rainbow is fun, as it has both technical ascents and hairy root-and-leaf descents. Screamer is for the downhill-inclined, and, really, it's hairy enough to make even the toughest think twice. I guess. All in all, if you are passing through and get the chance, ride this place. It's not a half-ass ride! |

The locals keep the place in great shape. Watch out for horse poop and don't ride when wet. |
