Review:

This is a great little trail if you are just wanting to go out and hit the woods and have some fun. If you ride this trail foward it is probaly at least 60% uphill so be prepared. Take this trail backward if you want a fast paced mostly downhill ride. Overall this is a good trail that could only be improved upon if it were longer.

Just follow Brian Archers posting below. This is the best route with a high fun factor.

This trail very much off limits when wet. It needs a few more years to harden up and get the drainage right so give it a break and let it dry for a couple days after a rain. Word: If you ride this trail when wet the Mtn bike gods will throw you down. Greasy is the word.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Laurel Fork, Buffalo, WARRIORS PATH for sure!

Review:

The ETSU Cycling Club has recently expanded the XC trail to 5.5 miles on pure on the wood singletrack. Tight, fast, and busy is the word so check it out next time you are in Johnson City.
Don't miss the killer DH course as well as the World Class Dual Slalom.

NTMBA (The Northeast TN Mtn Bike Assoc) will be hosting the 2nd annual Greystoke Subaru Rollin at The Ridge XC, DS, and DH race July 13-14. Norba and TORBA points race. Check it out at www.NTMBA.org.

Start at the parking lot on right just past the railroad bridge. Ride towards WETS radio station and veer left onto trail just before entering WETS driveway. Follow trail in clockwise direction.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Buffalo Mtn, Warriors Path, Laurel Fork, Eagles nest.

Review:

This trail has evolved into a nice 4.5 mile singletrack course thanks to alot of help by the NTMBA and ETSU cycling clubs. A great venue for races with XC,DS,and DH on site. The singletrack is fast and tight and will make you hurt if you attack it. Technical enough to challenge beginners and demand respect from advanced riders (or it will bite you).
Bottom line: great singletrack and fun to ride.

Sweet singletrack. Really sweet Dual Slalom course. Kinda sweet Downhill course. THe trails are very rolling....alot of short interval climb and quicky snappy descents

Bring a stopwatch and see how fast you can get 10 laps done. If someone else is there it aint worth riding because you'll see the guy 50 times and probably crash into him at least twice. A real challenge is trying to keep the bike upright when the trail is damp.
