none, i've never ridden a decent trail in mississippi.

Review:

perhaps someone can give some decent directions to this place. after driving for 2 hours, i followed the directions above to a tee. after this, it's anybody's guess. i didn't see any trail signs at all, so i went in to ask the ladies at the elvis house. they looked at me like i was green.

so, i just hopped on the bike in the near 100 degree, 100% humidity weather, and set out to find the trail. i had a gps with me with maps of the area loaded and still couldn't find this thing. i found a walking track that went around some kind of pond with about 1/8 miles of doubletrack going through some woods, but that went nowhere. i scoured every bit of that park, when across the street to the ball parks, scoured all of that, went all around the elvis park, around the pool, you name it. no singletrack. no 3 miles, no 9 miles, and nobody in the area had any idea what i was talking about when i asked them where this place was.

the rating is the worst i could give. it wouldn't let me give anything other than a 1. i'm basing this on the guess that these reviews are referring to that rollerblade track there. if there are trails, i'd love to know about them. can anybody else give any good directions?

Start at the little useless bridge by parking area. Trails are pretty well marked from that point.

Trace State Park in Pontotoc, 20 minutes away has mucho, mucho riding too. Some bike/hike only and some shared with motos and horses.

Review:

Trail is more than 9 miles now. Fun single track. Some tight and technical, but newer sections are longer and faster. There are a few trails across the road in the center of the park that are not as well marked. Small area so you should not get lost. Good for all levels. Beginners may take at least 1.5 hours. Advanced riders can do most of the trail in 1 hour.

I was recently in Tupelo on business and rode this trail 2 times. I ride Little Colorado on a regular basis. This trail is far less technical than LC but is a lot of fun. It is pretty smooth (no roots) and is like a roller coaster ride. A lot of ups and downs and curves. I would not make a special trip to Tupelo to ride it, but if in the area it is definitely worth stopping by for a ride. I really enjoyed my 2 rides on this trail nd would recommend it.

Very nice single track course. The course has been expanded to 9 miles. There are breaks in the trail so you can make a 3, 5, or 9 mile loop. Very nice ride, not too technical. There is a race there at the end of August...it was hot, but it was a great race!
