trailhead begins near tennis courts. decent single track, lots of fun during or right after it rains. the many trees make it more exciting. hooking your handle bars on one is even more exciting.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
in the same sports complex surrounding area, there are more trails. all are marked pretty well for the most part. just ride around the complex area or find a local and ask them for assistance. if you just ride around the whole place, you'll eventually come across the multiple trails. happy riding :)

The Caddilac trail is really cool

Review:

Cool trail, very fast and kinda technical. It is way to short... but if you cross the black top road there is a whole new set of trails so... live it up.

I really enjoyed the trail but it was just to short, so we blew off doing it twice and headed to my friends secret "forbidden rides" accross the road. Which were awsome... and deadly.

Great ride! Roots are abundant, but that makes the ride that much more interesting...you gotta pay attention. Cool bridge crossings. Creek crossing is nice. As others have said, not as much elevation change as Tom Brown Park, but that's nice for my fat ass. The trail is well marked and well maintained. Da bomb.

This trail is a lot like Tom Brown. It is well marked and easy to follow. Tough technical sections and some fast single track. More rooty than TBP but not as much elevation change. Extremely well maintained and another great place to ride in TLH. Then, after going around the trail I hooked up with some locals who took me on a 8 mile ride someplace on the same side of the road as Red Bug. This was a blast. I have no clue how to get on this trail except it was northwest of the parking lot/Tennis courts. We followed a road behind the field complex and then onto a trail. This trail was 90% singletrack with a hard climb up a jeep road towards the end. Thanks to the locals that took me on the ride and sorry I slowed you all down. Great ride and Red Bug was super.

3 mile loop, ride it 3-5 times and you've been on a nice ride. I like it better than Tom Brown. Good roots and the wooden bridges make for interesting crashes during wet conditions. I dig the creek crossover.

I usually park at Forest Meadows and start at the trailhead to the left of the tennis courts. There are many ways that you can go, but I usually start by going straight downhill followed by an immediate uphill. Then I go to the right so that I can go over the 6 to 8 whoop-de-doos and get some air.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Tom Brown, Cadillac, the others in the Forest Meadows/Phipps area and (once-upon-a-time) the Fern Trail-sigh. Some trail rating sites say that the Fern Trail will be restored. I hope so. I only ride it those times when I have no time for anything else as it is very close to my job.

Review:

I have a lot of fun on this trail when I go, which is not often enough. Like one of my other favorite trails in the area, Tom Brown's main trail, there are many different options so that I never have to ride the same exact ride twice. Instead of one defined route, riders can choose to turn left here, right there and change it up by riding the Phipps trail or Overstreet across the street. My favorite for all out fun is the Redbug portion of the trails except when I am out with my 9-year-old daughter. Then Overstreet is good as most of it is double track and not tecnichal at all. Redbug is great as there are portions that are technical, those that are fun for turns and jumps, physically challenging uphills and straightaways that allow for getting some speed. I recommend this for those riders who have at least intermediate skills.

I can't, they're all overused.
Or clearcut.

Review:

This used to be a really cool trail, and it could be again.
The erosion factor is taking it's toll.
In a BIG way.
High usage, plus Florida rainstorms, is killing this trail.
I used to ride it at least once a week, but now.....
Nope.
Too bad.
Like I said, it COULD be cool again, but lots of work, and about a year of no one riding it is the only way that's going to happen.

I'm writing it off.
No offence to the maint. crew intended.
They try, but they can't do magic.

I don't think it was that technical, but it was a lot of fun. The roots, bridges and girls running the trails make this a place I would ride more often if I lived closer. Some friends and I drove 2 hours here last Monday and it was worth it. We drove the same amount of time to Chickasabogue in Mobile and it sucked. Some guy named Mike Thompson screwed everybody over by building new trails. What a waste of land.

Although I wish the trail were a little longer, I gotta' say that I really like this trails.

This "rooty" trail really tests one's technical abilities. I usually ride the trail at least 2 times when I visit Tally.

This is some of the more technical trail layout in town. Once mastered, blast down to Lake Jackson or cross Meridian Road and ride several miles of new single track just created within the adjacent State Park. All of the property is beautiful. I ride it five to six days a week.
