Trail Description: |
Before you even attempt to ride this trail, you should e-mail me, so we can meet and ride together because this trail is very poorly marked!!!! Please e-mail me if interested! This trail will take you threw a bunh of different sections. You start out by climbing and descending a clay hill, then you wind back and forth to a hill that you can jump(since its descends). You continue heading on to a old dried up creek. Here you'll get kick from this dried up creek. After that, you start a really long straight riding. This is about 2 miles like that. Then, you face some jumps in this straight. You'll find much more left, including some stairdrops, and descents. All-in-all, this trail is a nice ride for the shortness it is. If you plan on going to Quiet Waters park(which is across the street), take a stop here before, and warm up! This trail isn't a competitor to all the others such as Markham, Oleta, or Quiet Waters, but it sure is fun!!! Please e-mail me if you want to be toured on this before you get lost since it isn't marked!!! |

Backwood's of Pompano landfill started out just by messing around with a bunch of friends. We realized we had a next K-mart on our hands. Time and time was invested into the trails, and nothing was moving. We later left the trails after a out-put of nothing. About a year ago, Alan, was trying to get a trail group going for Quiet Waters park at the Mountain Bike Expo last April at Quiet Waters. Grant(former manager of trails at quiet waters), was encouraging the group, but sadly he left his job. The group was starting a major downfall. That summer after the leaving of Grant, let the whole entire idea fade away. Just recently, Alan and I meet again, and he encouraged that we get this group up and going this summer. Now, were working again to transfer little obsticle's and bridges into Quiet Waters. Paper work and paper work pile up for every little thing slowing down work to the trail. Soon enough, we'll start to see a big improvement into the trail of Quiet Waters and better riding. . . If you have any questions contact Quiet Waters on how you can help trail maintence. Or contact me at: mountainbiker25@aol.com for helpful the removal of bridges and other obsticals. Thanks, |
