Be aware of horseback! Respect them and slow down if your passing, or stop when approaching. This is a good trail for intermediates and those looking to up your endurance on varied terrain. The paved sections allow passive riding. Rarely crowded and options for other trails in the Marin Headlands. |

Recommended Route: Up and over the GG, left at the paved road. Follow that up for a while, then decend the Coastal Trail! Then climb the Miwok and Monticello trail to Tennesse Valley. Can return through Sausalito. Run loop in reverse as well. Sausalito to Tennessee Valley, etc...Great local ride for SF riders....

Great scenery, Fun ride without having to bring the car. If you live in the Richmind D. this is the closest thing to a real bike trail. |
