from Kahalu'u, HI, USA Date Reviewed: August 5, 2008 | | Favorite Trail: | Any XC singletrack | | Duration Product Used: | Tested or demo'ed only | | Purchased At: | MTBR Staff | | Strengths: | Weight, travel, on-the-fly front shock lock-out, handling and balanced climber/descender. Great mix of components that worked pretty well. | | Weaknesses: | Only problem I encountered during the 3 days at Downieville was a tight link in the chain which caused some shifting problems until I figured it out. A little pricey for a Fuji? Time will tell... | | Similar Products Used: | Klein Palamino Team. | | Bike Setup: | Stock | | Bottom Line: | Perfect bike for the likes of Downieville's different trails. The Fuji's geometry handled the swooping groomed singletrack and switchbacks as smoothly as any bike I've ridden. The 5 inches of travel allowed me to bomb the rocky drops, roots and fireroads with confidence. Climbed everything as nimbly as a mountain goat. The front lock-out allowed out-of-the-saddle hammering on the steeps without the usual energy loss of typical front suspension. The hydraulic brakes worked well, but I didn't get the noise that others have complained about. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$4240.00 | | Purchased At: | Trailhead Bikes | | Strengths: | Design, looks, comfort, weight, and its a fuji | | Weaknesses: | none at all | | Similar Products Used: | Azonic revenge, Fuji Thrill, Fuji Mt. Fuji SL | | Bike Setup: | `08 Fuji Reveal 1.0 | | Bottom Line: | This bike is sexy. Works very well, is very light for a 5 inch travel bike. Kinda on the expensive side but its well worth it. First real ride on it was a 12 hour race and it handled it like a champ and took everything i could throw at it. Very highly reccomended!! | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |
