Strengths:You just can't beat the parts for the price you get. I love the way the bike handles, the front end is very nimble and tackles complex single-track very nicely. I like to ride very rocky terrain and wanted a bike that was light but sturdy. Boy does this bike do both. I ride at least two to three times a week so I'm putting this bike through its paces. Maintaining this bike has been quite easy, mostly do to the quality components. The large lockout switch on the rear shock is quite easy to flip on the fly and the front lockout is simple to adjust as well. The best part though is I don't lose a noticably amount of power when riding up hill.
Weaknesses:I have not found any yet per se, other than a general disdain by LBS's when I had to replace the chain. Note on the chain; it snapped suddenly in an intersection which really was a result of the front derailleur coming out of tune. I should have noticed the issue sooner. Anyhow, the LBS's kinda give me a funny look when i bring the bike in.
Similar Products Used:Schwinn, Cannondale, Kona, Gary Fisher, and Raleigh. I test rode a lot of bikes before settling on this one.
Bike Setup:Opted for the Mechanical brakes instead of the stock juicy brakes.
Bottom Line:I will recommend this bike to anyone looking to buy a good rock solid all mountain bike.

Strengths:Great handling bike, the best components for the money. I have beat the Sh*t out of the bike and it keeps coming back for more. Once you set up the bike the way you want it there is not turning back.
Weaknesses:You could say the components could be better but your already getting a two thousand dollar bike for half the prize. So there are no weaknesses.
Similar Products Used:I tried similar prized bikes but nothing came close.
Bike Setup:I did modify the bike a bit which made from a great bike to an insane riding bike. Too loose some weight I got a Thomson seat post and new magnesium pedals. The big change was a new Fox Float R fork which took the bike to a new level. It gave the extra travel to just be silly with my jumps and land like I was not even in the air and the for was two pounds lighter then the RockShox that came with the bike.
Bottom Line:I plan on keeping this bike for a long time, if I ever upgraded I would buy the higher end Fezzari bike. But this bike is great for what ever you plan on riding IMHO, I am not a great rider but I do ride hard and fast and I do take my tumbles and the bike is intact. I can't complaint at all, and the folks at fezzari are very helpful. If you do your homework and take a chance on ordering the bike you will be stoked.

Strengths:Stong overall component package. Bike was fit to me based on my measurements and riding preferences, and fits me great. Durable...I've been beating it quite severely since I got it, putting in lots of 50-75 mile weeks on all kinds of local trails...really, built like a tank. Good parts: wheels do a very good job in most conditions, suspension isn't top end, but once it's properly adjusted it does well, seat is comfy enough for off road riding and short road stretches to get to the trails. Hydraulic brakes are super nice.
Weaknesses:Super sturdy build leads to a bit of excess weight, but I don't mind, still handles well and climbs aren't limited by bike weight. Suspension's not the best, but does a good job (once dialed in a bit) until I can justify spending a lot more on new stuff. Rear shock makes a bit more noise than I'd like, and does bob a bit mroe than I'd like. Rear brake tends to make some noise, but not bad. I would like one more pair of braze-ons for adding another water bottle to the bottom of the down tube. Not super efficient climbing w/o shocks locked-out, but not bad..if you need better, just learn to lock out suspension on the fly (and don't forget to unlock it when it gets hairy!)
Similar Products Used:Santa Cruz Superlite, Gary Fisher HooKooEKoo, Trek 9500, Trek 6500.
    Bike Setup:Stock.
Bottom Line:I've not ridden a ton of full suspension bikes, so I don't have a lot to compare it to, but this thing makes me want to go out ride. Well equipped out of the box; I've swapped out tires, handlebars and seat to 'High end' stuff to see if I can do better, but have switched back to stock each time.

Tough bike! I've fallen all kinds of ways on this thing, onto rocks, off of elevated obstacles, and it's certainly faired better than my elbows and shins have.

Very good customer service, overall. They'll talk you through problems and answer questions without making you feel un-informed. Obviously, Fezzari is not a local bike shop, but I get better service from them than from any of my LBSs...

Bottom line: when I'm done riding, I can't wait till my next ride.

Strengths:I was a little nervous about buying this bike without touching it first, but I took a gamble and it paid off. It's much better than I thought. I did a lot of homework before I bought. I test-road a Trek, a Cannondale, and a Giant. I also have a Stumpjumper, so I was inclined to go with Specialized again. But I started comparing components, and Fezzari puts a lot of great stuff on the Alta Peak for the money. Juicys, XT, Mavic rims, Maxxis tires, etc. All the components were basically the same as stuff that I was comparing that was a lot more money. So to me the big question was the frame and how it rides.

The frame is my favorite part. It's comfortable and easy to ride. I know that Fezzari did the custom setup for me, and I'm sure that had something to do with it, but the bike just feels good. It's solid, corners great, and has little bobbing. You can tell that they spent a lot of time building it.

The support has also been great. After I rode it for about a month, I wanted to learn how to tune the derailleur myself. Mike from Fezzari coached me through tuning it up. I've talked to 3 or 4 different people there, and everyone of them are knowledgeable and courteous.
    Weaknesses:None that I can find.
    Similar Products Used:Giant, Cannondale, Specialized
Bike Setup:Shimano XT, Avid Juicy 3 brakes, Maxxis Larsen TT tires (all are 2007)
Bottom Line:This is the best bang for the buck. I love this bike. I've referred two friends.

Strengths:This thing rides awesome. No bobbing, frame is tight. I've ridden it hard almost everyday (I didn't want to post a review until I had put it through the paces), and it still is as tight as day one. Brakes work great, shocks are responsive, and wheels are great. I particularly like the cockpit feel. Fezzari did a great job with their customized setup so that it fit me just right. I've had problems in the past with getting a bike that fit right.
    Weaknesses:None that I have found.

Strengths:Incredible value based on quality and components. Best bike for the money I could find after extensive research. Awesome customer and sales support and with custom bike fitting this bike just feels right. This bike is a tank, durable and solid and goes up or down wherever I take it. I am a big guy 240 lbs. and need to feel my ride is going to hold up. This is definitely a very sturdy and confident ride. The more I ride it, the more I love it and am impressed with the great deal I got by finding Fezzari.
Weaknesses:It IS a "tank". You get a solid ride, but it does weigh more than a lot of other bikes. I'm still very satisfied with the trade off though.
Similar Products Used:Trek VRX and Giant VT1
Bike Setup:Made no changes to factory set up. Everything fit perfectly and I believe "if it ain't broke don't try to fix it." I suspect I'll be leaving things the same for a long time.
Bottom Line:If you have all the money in the world, get whatever cool bike you want. If you want the best value in an affordable mountain bike, Fezzari is the place to go. Definitely the best money I spent on a bike so far. And perhaps the last I'll need to spend for a long long time.

    Weaknesses:none yet
Bike Setup:stock from the factory. gave them my measurements and they set the bike up for my dimensions.
Bottom Line:i don't buy anything that i don't do extensive research on first. after going to numerous bike shops and seeing what everyone has to offer i felt that this bike was going to be the best out there for the price i wanted to pay. this is my first full suspension bike and i love it. i would reccommend it to anyone.

Weaknesses:I would like to have a store to take it to if there were problems, but i've not had any. And there customer service has been great thus far.
Similar Products Used:several treks but my last bike was a specialized stumpjummper and i never was able to get it to fit trying many different component set-ups

Bottom Line:best bike out there for the value.no bike in its price range is even close. you have to look at bikes $1000 or more or higher to find a similar set-up to this bike.also you can't forget the custom set-up, no more buying extras to try to find a good fit.lifetime warranty on frame and 30 day money back if unsatisfied on the whole bike.cant beat it. these guys are awesome watch them grow.

Strengths:Killer price. Bought it for mix of components at this price (and friend recommendation). Best I could find. Full suspension with lockout feature. The ride is outstanding under all circumstances.
Weaknesses:It has been problem free so far. I would have preferred a different color at first, but now I wouldn't change for anything. I get a lot of compliments on it.
Similar Products Used:Compared it to the FSR Stump Jumper before buying the Alta Peak.
Bike Setup:The stock bike. Added clipless pedals from Fezzari.com. Also paid to have it custom fit to my measurements--it was right on the money. I also did some minor tweaks to the seat and handle bars when I got it according to directions on the website. All in all, it was a perfect fit.
Bottom Line:I am a road biker mostly. I commute to work 2-3 times/week. I used to mountain bike when I was in college a few years ago and more recently could only afford one bike until now so I just had a road bike. I heard about Fezzari from some friends who love their bikes. Thought I would try this out. How do I like the bike? It still amazes me. I go with the friends for weekend rides. This is my first full-suspension bike. It's nimble and I like the lockout feature. I got it near the end of summer so I've ridden it quite a lot. I recommend this bike. It is really worth every single penny.

Strengths:Price is unbelievably low for the mix of components and quality. Great service. They took plenty of time with me to answer every question. Very knowledgeable customer service.
Weaknesses:Had to get used to the Juicy hydraulic brakes at first, but now I wouldn't ride without 'em. They're great.
Similar Products Used:Trek 8000--previous bike, wife has the Abajo Peak from Fezzari (a step down from Alta Peak), so I've ridden that one too--also excellent for the money. Test rode Specialized Epic Comp and Stumpjumper FSR Elite, Giant Trance 1, Trek Fuel 95 and EX 7, I tested several more, but these are the ones I liked most.
Bike Setup:Stock components, but bike was custom fit for me. They took my measurements, size, riding style and outfitted with right size crank, handle bars, stem, seat post, etc. Excellent fit!
Bottom Line:About seven weeks ago I started looking for a mountain bike. At birth I was unfortunately blessed/cursed with a condition called anal retentiveness. Whenever I buy something I have to know everything about it and look everywhere. I started by going to the bike shops in town and checked out the brands I was familiar with like Trek, Specialized, Giant and GT. I talked to everyone in town and discovered things had changed a LOT since I bought my last bike about 5 years ago. I had been riding a Trek 8000--not a high-end bike by any means, but decent enough.

My budget this time was $1200-$1500. I wanted to find the best possible bike for the money. After checking out the bike shops I went online to see what there was. During my extensive search I ran across a brand called Fezzari. They sell directly only and don’t have dealers per se, so they were kind of hard to find. I made comparison charts and listed all the components of several bikes and the Fezzari Alta Peak is what I finally ended up going with and didn’t even have to spend my full budget to get it. I paid about $1200 for it total. That included a custom setup where they actually asked me for all my measurements, weight, riding style etc. to outfit it with the right size frame, stem, seat post, tires, and cranks.

I was actually very nervous to buy it online as I’ve had a few issues in the past with other online purchases. This purchase was like a dream. Excellent customer service, very knowledgeable and no one else ever offered to customize the bike for my price range. VERY COOL!

Okay, so how do I like the bike? I’m, quite frankly, shocked out of my mind. It is awesome! I test rode a lot of other bikes, as well as friends’ bikes, and I have to say that the Alta Peak is just as nice as many bikes I rode that would have cost me over $2000—EASILY! It’s nimble, sturdy, and easy to ride. It looks great. The components are top notch for the amount of money I spent. I love the brakes!!! Of course, compared to my center-pull brakes anything would be better. I can climb hills now that I couldn’t before and keep going (I’m in good shape, not great).

The frame is also very nice. I really like the bend in the top tube to allow for a little more distance between the bike and “me.”

A couple of my friends who spent big bucks on their bikes told me originally to not take a chance online since I couldn’t test ride it first. Fezzari took care of that issue too. They have a guarantee that beats everyone else’s. It’s a 30 day, full refund policy. So, if I didn’t like it, I could simply return it. Hey, for the amount of money I could save, it was well worth the risk. I’ve had it now for about 3 weeks and my friends are big time jealous.

I’m not going to go into detail on the components, that’s available on the Fezzari website. Let’s just say I am one happy biker!!!
