Similar Products Used:2003 ETSX-30
Bike Setup:Of course the 16.5"frame w/ Fox Float RP3 Pro Pedal, Marzocchi 2005 MX Pro w/ETA 130mm Mavic XM 819 UST with Hope Pro II hubs Hope Mono M4 Disc brakes, Chris King Headset, Shimano XTR 952 shifters, and rear derailluer, 960 Front derailluer, XT 760 Casette, Crankset, Easton EC70 Seat Post, monkeylite handlebars, raceface dues XC stem Continental Vertical Pro UST 2.3 tires
Bottom Line:This bike rocks! Now that I am on the right size frame the ETSX-30 is a 18" frame so I find I can manuever and race faster, the bike climbs like a goat and now with the smaller frame I am really climbing great, the downhills get smoothed out regardless of the drops or speed I take them at it will really stick the landing and grabs great in the turns. The 5" of travel makes the bike plush so on fast level courses you need to be aware of the propedal setting you use and go to the stiffer setting to control the bob. The bike handles well with a 105mm fork but is better with the 130mm travel, gives you 5" of travel all around and still handles the tight turns well. This is a good race bike frame on courses that have the technical challenge or require some good downhill and technical climbs, also as Rocky advertises if your a marathon, endurance racer this is the bike for you. Overall you are getting a great bike for the price depending on your build, the frame is expensive but it is a limited edition so your paying for that as well as the quality that you get from RM's hand built frames and that is a high quality
