Weaknesses:Pivots may squeek a bit , not a big deal though , havent seen a full suspension that hasnt.
Similar Products Used:Santa cruz super light
Bike Setup:talas, XT/XTR, Fox rp3, 4" front and rear
Bottom Line:This bike will be the last full suspension bike you buy , or at least what my wife says....It is a great cross country , excersises precision when going down hill/technical trails. versatile and light . I cahnged out the cables with avid flack jackets as I do with every bike. What can I say Made in Canada, Tough like Canadians.....

Favoriate Trail:convict trail
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Price Paid: $2500.00
Purchased At:simons bikeshop
Strengths:tough bike, relativly light great for technical climbing and obstacle clearing. , adjustable suspension gives geniuine multiple applications for bike, very plush when set to 5 inches of travel.
Weaknesses:none so far
Similar Products Used:santa cruz blur classic and xc, cannondale prophet
Bike Setup:totally stock for team version excpt i swapped riser bars for flat ec70's
Bottom Line:great bike so far
i swapped frm my blur xc to this bike due to ongoing pivot problems on the blur.
this bike does clear obstacles noticably better than the blur probably due to the higher bottom bracket.
slightly shorter top tube than the blur but fine with a laid back post
my use for the bike is mainly for racing over longer distances from 100kms to 8 hour series and it seems perfect for the job. tight handling on 4 inch travel and noticibly more relaxed on 5 inch
ill post a long term review down the line. but great so far

Favoriate Trail:still looking
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Price Paid: $2300.00
Purchased At:River Sports Outfitters
Strengths:Extreemly smooth suspension
Frame and Paint quality
Weaknesses:none so far
Similar Products Used:Cannondale Scalpel
Specialized Stump Jumper
Bike Setup:XT,LX (Stock)
Bottom Line:I purchased the ETSX 50 after I sold my scalpel looking for a bike that was a bit smoother on these rough East Tenn. trails. I sacrificed some quality when it comes to the level of componets and, obviously a few pounds. The bike weighs in at 28.8lbs, which is still very light for a 5" travel bike. This bike rides extreemly well. It soaks up hits and climbs as well as it descends. The rear suspension has 3 settings 4", 4.5" and, 5". It is adjustable with the flip of a cam. The 4" and the 5" ride very differently. The 4" setting is more cross country race like. The 5" is fun to go downhill. I usually leave it on 5" throughout a casual ride. I highly reccomend this bike. Looking forward to some endurance races with this thing.

Hand welded in Canada
Weaknesses:Price? But you get what you pay for
Similar Products Used:Jamis Dakar Pro
Bike Setup:X.O, Marta SL, Easton, Race Face, Tune hubs, Sapim CX Ray spokes, DT rims
Bottom Line:Unbelieveable, I custom built this bike and the performance is amazing. I have 5" front and rear and the bike is under 25lbs!!! If you need a 5" travel bike the ETS-X is it! If you want a 4" travel XC bike it can do that too!
