from Johannesburg, South Africa Date Reviewed: November 8, 2007 | | Favoriate Trail: | Logwoods, Fountains (PTA) | | Duration Product Used: | Less than 1 month | | Price Paid: |
$3980.00 | | Purchased At: | Finish Line Cycles | | Strengths: | Light weight, minimal pedal bob, comfortable ride. | | Weaknesses: | Chunky bar mounted lockout, correct rear shock pressure unclear - needed a trail and error to setup. | | Similar Products Used: | Scott Scale Carbon hardtail, GT I-drive 1.0 | | Bike Setup: | Bought carbon team frame with full XT group, Fox fork, DT swiss rims and DT rear shock. Stem and crank length perfect needed no changes. Fizik saddle comfy. | | Bottom Line: | Love this bike! Climbs like a hardtail even when rear not locked out. Very little bob when shock pressure correct. 2008 XT is super, Fox fork is as good as ever. A great all day epic racer or trail rider. Feels very stable on descents too. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |
